Checking in daily to maintain focus #64

I like how the discipline of journaling helps me out in other ways. Have a good night

Day 9. Everything is hard right now. Keeping on. My health is bad after nearly 2 years of daily drinking. When does the tummy stuff stop? Feels like never. I feel like a bloated beached whale. :whale: Missing my kids and grands. One day at a time.

Day 64 AF
Day 183 doc free

Happy Tuesday Evening. Hope everyone is doing alright. Staying focused and repeating the serenity prayer as often as needed. My thoughts have been stuck in the past. The what if I made a different descsion my life would be… especially when it comes to specific financial matters ie. Sale.of family home due to exiting an abusive relationship and settling from work Ltd which I could have been on for years.
I worry if I will be able to maintain a full time job. I am the soul provider for my three children.
Awwww what’s gone is gone. Moving forward. Trusting God’s plan for me is better than I have for myself and we will regain all plus ten fold because I will be In recovery and anything is possible when you work this program of recovery.

Moving forward finalized court documents for family court today. Also began my upgrading Adult learning classes today. Very humbling but proud of myself. I am acknowledging struggles in specific areas and getting help for it. Getting better at getting better.

Happy 24 all :pray:t5::purple_heart:

So my counter just clicked to 30 days.

It was a very good day today. The weather was beautiful and I was outside for most of the day. I know I will sleep well despite the fact I am full from eating too much. Haha. I have a golf tournament tomorrow so I am hoping for some good results. Hope all my sober friends have a good night.

We went through this with our daughter too. Our neighbours were very religious and while not overly pushy, their children spoke of God often and they feard the devil. This brought many discussions home to our table, where I do believe in something outside of us; my husband detests the religion on politicak grounds, so we bofh agree there. Made for interestinf conversations! I think yes overstepping by this parent as though it is something you and your children should be pittied for. Stay in your lane lady!

Yes my son, God is cheese :cheese: Be well dear Mischa!

Checking in for Day 1- Feeling super nervous, I’ve made it 100+ days before but this time I’m not as in a good emotional spot to start. But I’m tired for just masking all my feelings.

Day 1 is hard Caitilynn. I’m having a really hard three days now and I’m on 62 days. I came back here to try to get me thru the night without crashing my run. Hang in there and write to others seems to help me as I am doing here.

@shel75 Hope you are doing better today. That one drink is never an option – smart thinking to remind yourself that drinking never did help or solve anything. Glad you came here to rant my friend. Hope it helped writing it out :hugs:
@smootie8220 WOOT WOOT super happy and proud of your triple digits – way to go girl! Keep going strong :muscle:
@mrfantastik thanks Marty! Glad the training ended up going well :hugs:
@mischa84 hope you got a wonderful run in. Love that you found a some learning materials. So exciting to learn new things. I agree that it’s a bit much for a parent to send that message. I might not have handled it so well. I also have that feeling when using cash  SO crazy how our times have changed eh? So reliable on the credit cards – I feel like I’m treating myself when I use cash (like its the bonus points from cc’s)
@neverforever Welcome to the community Gemma. Hope to see you around.
@dzmm Welcome to the community and a great job with 4 days friend. I am sorry for the struggles friend – it does get easier. Great work on persevering. This is a great supportive community to be a part of and gain support through your journey.
@danez welcome to the community and wonderful work with 3 days of sobriety. Hope you were able to get to a meeting today. Im sorry that you are not well my friend – remind yourself that drinking will not help in anyway and only make any sort of healing that much harder. Are you interested in crafting or puzzles or possibly coloring? This is a very supportive community filled with some amazing threads that have helped me in my journey and also great for distractions. Keep pushing forward. :muscle:
@lile01 I’m sorry Indi. I can understand the hurt feelings and feeling of abandonment. I do hope that you work with the medical team love. We are unable to beat this beast alone. You are doing great in getting back to it. I know that my close loved ones took months to come around this last time cause they had to see my actions before they would take my sobriety seriously. You keep doing the steps and just focus on yourself love.
@justjan Welcome to the community friend and great work on your 9 days of sobriety! Keep working on your journey friend – the tummy stuff should start feeling well soon. ODAAT :muscle:
@mira_d thank you so much dear friend. So sweet of you to say and I appreciate that we are here together on our journey :people_hugging:

Odd question, but I can’t find the “counter” anywhere. I figured there was one but I can’t find mine in my profile or whatever. Good job on 30 days. From 30 to 60 was a breeze for me for some reason. So hopefully you have the same easy trip.
