Checking in daily to maintain focus #65

Wtf is with those headache coming with no reason… Why my kids are such a rascals. Why they don’t listen. Questions without question marks and without answers. I’m so done today. Glad this day is over.

I have so many undone control visits with a doctors… I just can’t. I should go get checked 3 weeks after IUD insertion - I didn’t go. I should check my blood sugar every year cause I had pregnancy diabetes - never did. Check my neck after that cyst - fuck it. Invitation for cervical cancer test is still waiting for me to do something with it more than a month already. Probably there is more but i dont remember now. Is it some kind of anxiety or stupidity/arrogance (“I’m fine!”)? Probably both. Fucking headache :smiling_face_with_tear:

1352 days no alcohol.
817 days no cocaine.
332 days no vape.
1 day no binge-eating.

I had my dentist appointment this morning. Strangely, I had only low-level anxiety over it today. I had a long wait for my appointment. One of the numbing injections was in the roof of my mouth and so fkin painful. The clean was painful too, as I have very sensitive teeth. It was all over quite quickly, so I was relieved about that. I’m glad that’s over for another six months.

Helped my dad rearrange everything in my garage from yesterday, and take some items out to get rid of, to make more room. He has lots more stuff he needs to put in there. I also broke down a lot of empty boxes that he refused to let me keep, so they are now in the recycling bins. I also took my own rubbish and recycling out to the bins when I got home from the dentist earlier.

I refilled my meds for the week. That always feels good once I’ve done it, and it really helps me to keep track of whether I’ve taken them or not.

Now I’ve caught up here, ready for an early night (as long as I can fall asleep!:crossed_fingers:t2:) because I have my first rehab appointment for my back at 8:30am.

Hello. Day 25 is done.

Man, what a shitty day!

Just a lot of stress today and an honestly subpar AA-Meeting. One long fight about religion.

Could’ve wasted my time better tbh. I’m sure next week is going to be better but this one was just plain dissapointing. Tried to get some words in but was promptly shut down.

So yeah, not the best one I’ve been to.

Anyways, I’m gonna tty to get some rest. I hope at least your day was good TS-People. :+1:

Checking in day 223 SAF and 209 no smokes.
These last few weeks have been very busy in work, very busy at home, pretty much everywhere. It seems like everything all hits at once. I’m home now after about a 11 hour day, and I’m kinda cooked today, so bed early. I pulled something in my elbow and twisted my fuckin ankle, all within an hour working an emergency job .
I was listening to a podcast on the way home and the guy said, “I always thought I drank and used drugs because I liked the way they made me feel, in reality though I liked the way it didn’t make me feel.” This was me to a Tee. I masked injury, anxiety, everything, until in the end I was feeling pretty much nothing at all. Now I feel everything and it scares the shit out of me.. We’re all gonna be alright though if we just keep pushing forward ODAAT.
Love ya’s :v:

Lights out Day 109 AF

Seems I have now 6 more lawn clients plus a full time job that starts in less than two weeks. I’m supposed to be retired but thats out the window I guess.

Built two more raised veggie beds and two large raised flower beds today. Got a trailer load of garden soil and filled. So now 6 large raised veggie beds to fill with plants.
Tomorrow we are going to complete wood post and style fence, then get ready for the big move of a shed from one side of driveway to the other… then I open roof to add in greenhouse panels to convert for wife’s greenhouse… but first gym session.

I’m beat. Time to close my eyes. Goodnight TS peeps.

Be safe, be well :pray::heart::peace_symbol:

Checking in 6months and a few days

Started a job. Hoping to God this one will stick because I’ve worked my arse off the last 4 days! Thankfully they seem happy with me but people have said that before. I hit up a meeting last night with my sponsor and spoke to him about the fact that I’m going to have to reduce meetings. He said not to worry so long as I have purpose which I do  I was actually sat in that meeting and my phone vibrated in my pocket and I thought to myself “Wonder who that is…” It wasn’t til about an hour later I realised I hadn’t thought/wondered/hoped it was the last girl. So that’s good

I had a kebab tonight and I’m regretting it. I also have a friend coming over from Atlanta tomorrow and I’m looking forward to seeing him! Last time I saw him he was married and I was drinking - we’ve both ended those relationships since so it’ll be a good old chat ahead.

God I’m tired but a good tired!

@wahtisnormal Way to go with your double digits Zoe! Hope you were able to bring about some positive energy. Volunteering at an arboretum sounds exciting. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures.
@shel75 glad to see you doing so well and enjoying your vacation time – the sunrise was a beautiful capture. I do hope you had fun playing cornhole and did not feel triggered.
@tailee17 glad to see you recovering with some ease my friend – wishing you a smooth and easy recovery. :hugs: Way to go with your 56 days!
@juli1 YES! An amazing looking number for sure Jules – you are crushing it my friend. Show off your sober muscles girl :muscle:
@suechu That voice can be tricky and manipulative – great work on seeing it for the madness it is. Keep stacking up the days friend – 23 and counting :muscle:
@tomek good to see you friend. I’m sorry for your upcoming difficult anniversaries. I do hope you have a good coping mechanism in place on how to deal with them. We are here for you friend – remember that you are not alone. WOW- that’s impressive. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Totally understand this and feel the same way. I found that I could connect freely with this community as members here have gone through or are going through what I am dealing with. Feels good to know that we are not alone in this journey. Day 3 is impressive work Dan – keep it coming :muscle:
@mischa84 Oh man I’m sorry Mischa  I can’t imagine having to deal with 3 toddler boys and a headache to boot – you are amazing friend. I can totally understand how the check ups and appointments get missed or forgotten but please do not neglect your health. I’m sure everything is ok but it is best to stay on top of health issues. Much love my friend
@butterflymoonwoman glad to hear that the overnight went well. Hope you are able to kick the headache to the curb. Glad you are taking it easy Dana :people_hugging:
