I am lucky enough to have a very supportive family and do not have to worry about being around alcohol as they know I still have a hard time controlling myself when itās available.
We had a sober Thanksgiving and it was the best Thanksgiving in a long time!
No waking up worrying about what I said or did-
everything seemed so much more authentic that felt really good.

Checking in! 
I havenāt checked in in a few days, but things are going fine! Busy days at work! Iām still abstaining from any self destructive behavior! (No booze, cigarettes as well as controlling my ED - hitting 2 weeks today)
As of today Iām off 2 weeks! Thatās also a first one for me, usually I only take one week at the time.
Tomorrow I have the charity concert I mentioned some days ago, where Iāll be helping as a volunteer. Theyāve scheduled me for 4 hours at the food stand + all the setup beforehand. At least Iām not at the booze standā¦ 
Peanut is doing fine! No more wounds at the moment, they have all healed and nothing new has appeared, fingers crossed!

Quick afternoon check inā¦had two marketplace appointments today. One lady told me she was unable to come 20 min after her scheduled time and the other one in the guys showed up 1.5 hrs late. Just grateful that the pool table sold so thatās one more thing gone. Really testing my patience and trying not to get worked up with peopleās inconsideration.
Back home and in bedā¦ enjoying the snow from a warm indoor setting.

Day 524. Second check jn. Ridiculous evening. Felt like a whiskey for my nerves abd frustration but going to bed insteadā¦ the past two days have been awfully stressfulā¦with some visitorsā¦and after a walk tomoro a.m things will settle down again i hope

Second check in of the day. Just finished up my workday half an hour ago. As I noted earlier this morning, Iāve been up since 2 AM due to not getting back to sleep after a daughter wake up.
I still managed to get through my workday ok, walk to the grocery store and run an errand at lunch, and have got into the lots of snow shovelling and some light housework since after work.
Just doing it all through force of will. Today wouldāve gone very differently if I had gone into beers at lunch like I would have up to a few years ago.

Foxes are currently screaming just after sunset. Wow! It is so very spooky on a cold clear night 
All ok after a cancelled holiday. We each have parts of the dinner to eat today. I am very glad I didnāt grab the pie! Weāll make up for it at Christmas Iām sure.

Wud up, gang.
Went back to my momās and the in-laws today for a bit.
Thereās not much going on right now. Weāre back at the apartment with the family. Gonna go for a walk, and then watch a movie or something.
We donāt do Black Friday. The wife and I went in our early 20s before we had kids. We sat outside for hrs in the cold just to get a flat-screen TV. I wanted to swing on mathafudgers left and right, lol. That was the one and only time we went.
Well, thatās all from me. Another day off the sauce.

Today was okay i guess, except that we travelled a long way to purchase a pair of brand new snowpants for $30 off marketplace, and it turns out that they dont fit 
And oddly enough i feel super stupid, like i shouldve known not to buy something like this off marketplace bcuz my son is a big boy for 8 years old and clothes can be iffy to buy for him. Anyway, outside of feeling a little down, im alright. Work this weekend so gotta prepare for that. Have a great friday evening everyone!

Just checking in. Great week at work and starting to slowly investigate teachers college. It is now 2 years here where I live, but there are some prograns where practicum and teaching is a large part of the equation. Maybe not yet, but I am just loving where I am and what i am doing. In laws are hefe for a few nights and hopefully we get to do our playdate with our friends this weekend that got cancelled last weekend becayse they were all sick. Not much else to report just starting to hustle on that xmas shopping xo.

Itās been a minute checking in Day 531 AF. Quickly approaching 18 months sober. Attending a lot of meetings in person. Have a sponsor but Iāve been told by others in the program to find a sponsor that has something I want. While my sponsor is very sweet sheās got a lot going on in her life and not much more time than me. Itāll work out.
