@wahtisnormal Thanks Zoe! That picture just made my day! How cute are they
@sobernow Great work on day 3. For me, finding ways to stay busy helped with the cravings. Love the attitude and keep remembering the awful feeling of that hangover.
@kitster Day 3 is awesome work – glad you were able to get back on track. Learn from what caused the relapse and keep working on your recovery. ODAAT!
@lastry That fog brain is no joke. I know how frustrating it can be and so grateful to know that it does get better. The body is so amazing and it does heal itself over time (to an extent). The key is to keep working on the recovery because we don’t know when it will stop. When I hear others saying “I don’t know if I have another recovery in me” I totally feel this but also want to add and I don’t know if my body will recover from my next relapse.
@soberwalker Oh I’m so sorry Claudia. I know how hard it was for you with that plaster. I do hope that the four weeks go by quickly and your foot is fully healed during this time Hopefully you will have a wonderful time tonight
@bunto Congrats on your double digits! YES – looking into hobbies or activities that will make you happy and fill up time is great for your recovery. I like all that you have listed and you could also search for hobbies as many threads with great ideas have been posted.
@deelzebub Oh that is fantastic advice that your friend provided. Your friend in the psych ward is being looked after and given the help she needs. You need to concentrate on your own recovery / mental health and be there for your family. Have a fantastic day. I am loving that you are painting more – your pieces are always beautiful and thought provoking
@aaboy210 I did sleep A LOT in the beginning of my journey. I think it’s a way for your body to shut down and heal it self and use all its energy on detoxing. Keep up the great work!
@chevy55 OOH a sauna would be a wonderful addition for your home. Have fun with the research. Hope the stretches help
@TeaCosy OOH yeah – rest days do mess with the mental bit as I would feel like I’m being lazy because I’m not doing anything. You are doing something! You are allowing your body time to reset and recover. I am still working on this and always need a gentle reminder that it is ok to rest
Today is a new day! Hope that you are able to make it a wonderful day. Sorry for the rough days - here if you need to talk it out
Checking in on Wednesday morning
I did manage 5 hours of sleep and feeling decent. The sun is shining bright and it is a chilly morning so i’m happy to be sitting with my coffee and catching up here. Have a few small things to get done today. Would like to start planning the Thanksgiving dinner menu (I can’t believe it is only a few week away). This year really is flying by.
Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day! Sending you all so much love
