Thursday I caught-up here and did some meditations.
Yesterday I would usually have been having therapy but we were on a break this week. I’m just glad I did not have to deal with the trains this week.
I’ve had a bad migraine with nausea since Thursday afternoon and it’s not shifting. So I spent a lot of time yesterday with my eyes closed. I wanted to not get behind on here again but I just couldn’t tolerate the screen.
I did manage to finally return my parcels!
This weekend I am hoping to clean the flat, it needs it.
Wishing you all wonderful sober weekends.

I’m texting with my best friend and I brought my iPad which has some good games on it. but this is my second night in a row of no sleep so having a hard time keeping busy with much of anything
Sleep deprivation is really hard. The brain does not like that. Hope you get some relief soon
I wish you could just close your eyes and try to get some rest if not sleep. I’m glad you are safe. I’m so glad you went in there. Big hugs and lots of love.
Oh I’m a fan of polish cottage cheese, lately with this sweet corners, like apple&cinnamon, raspberry, basically it’s kind of jam but goodness me, so good.
They have some good polish bread, when you lucky it’s still a bit warm and unsliced, yum.
Ogórki kiszone - sour augurk, to make a soup
Kefir
Sausages ofcourse, some krakowska sucha as well, or myśliwska.
I never understood why so many polish ppl love “ptasie mleczko”. I like sweets but even if I would crave sweets and this would be the only thing in my house - I wouldn’t eat it.
My husband is big fan of Prince Polo (he’s Romanian)
Congrats on 11 months!
Oh that’s so nice what you wrote, makes me feels so special. And seen. We have some nice numbers of ODAATs, and still counting
I’m trying to rest now. i almost fall asleep but the woman in the room next to me has been screaming in pain on and off
I only ever buy the Polish kefir, the white and green packaging. It’s perfect. The westernised crap is sugar.
Fingers crossed that you will get some good help. Again, I’m so glad you went in there and I hope it ends up being the start to the change that you need.
As they say, nothing changes if nothing changes.
In all the years that I’ve known you here on talking sober, you have always made sense and you have always clearly talked about what’s going on.
You have never shown any indication of being confused or out of it or anything like that.
You’ve made good sense and been clear about what is going on.
Happy Saturday!
Another sober morning without the regrets, shakes, tiredness, and worry that a night of drinking would have brought. Also I think its day 27/30 without caffeine
Currently just above the freezing mark here 35F but it is October in Chicagoland.
Off to start my day. MAKE it an awesome day my friends!!
Hey all, checking in on day 1602. I hope everybody has a good one!
Hope you are able to get some rest soon. I know how loopy sleep deprivation can make someone. Glad you are here with people that can help you. Hopefully someone will provide a plan soon on what to expect next.
Keep us posted…we are all thinking of you and wishing you well.
Thanks Cam
302 AF days
Still under the weather, but think I’m coming back a bit. Hard to say as I usually feel better once up and showered. See if that continues throughout the day.
Regardless going to take it easy though I really wanna mow my lawn for last time of season, lol.
Training all next week and then a month LOA… I am so looking forward to getting back to gym, going to physio for shoulder and hip… then with freed up time from lawn business put away for season having a regular routine in gym. The wake up at 4am then working till 7pm has me pretty exhausted. Next season I may drop to what I wanted to do this year, 4 clients not 7… I’ll ponder that over winter for certain.
Have a good day folks
Yes yes yes. The very best
Checking in on another sober Saturday, day 466.
Not much planned for today except a dog walk soon to explore the area around my new flat and waiting in for our internet to get connected. I think i will have a self care day and get on insight timer for a guided meditation…i need to recharge after all the recent emotional and physical hectic. I hope everyone has a good, sober Saturday
Twaróg is key to good pierogi. Also I remember my grandma making it in the spring after the cows got to eat real grass for the first time in the year. The milk tasted very special at after the long winter and the twaróg aswell. Then we would get fresh chives and radishes from the garden on it. Freshly baked bread and butter. That was quite a treat.
