Ayeee, you feel me! Thank you @JazzyS

Today was alright. My arms/neck are tense/sore, so I wasnāt motivated to continue my cleaning. As expected, my ex showed up right when school got out. Heās temporarily staying with his mother, 3 blocks away(and it will be temporary knowing her!) Heās more resourceful when heās homeless than anyone else I know. He spent 6 hours at social services and walked out with $100(gave me $40), food stamps(to share with us), and got on the housing assistance list. Plus, he starts his old job next week. We were completely cordial, but you know I had to ask if it actually was āfor the bestā
which he still believes
It was nice to hear my daughter laughing so much tho.
I knew heād gotten close to a friend of my daughterās father on the inside(a known H addict). They made plans for the outside bc they had the same release date, but he said the closer it got, the more he knew none of it would happen. He was offered a ride, but chose to walk bc he knew exactly where that car was going. Iām not too worried about that stuff yet, but weed was the whole reason this happened. That really doesnāt bother me, but if it ever leads him to believe he can have a drink, then itās off to the races. All bets are off. Just like me. Not gonna think about that tho. Iād like to get some sleep
Heās bringing a drill tomorrow to help me with the closet. Hopefully Iāll be in the mood to work. Hope you all have a great weekend ![]()

Feeling happy itās Friday, and I had a good work day today. I did a walk on my walk pad for 3 straight days now since I got my A1C result. The twins have both been home sick this week with a bad cold or something. This weekend Iāll spend doing some consulting work and going to my Sunday meeting. Things are so mellow when I donāt have to look for all kinds of opportunities to drink and then clean up the wreckage I create, lol. Hope you all have a good weekend. ![]()

Definitely deserves to be on there along with Brits continuing the family BBQ in the rain. Iāve genuinely had my supper stolen by both a seagull AND a sparrow. Not at the same time thankfully, on two occasionsā¦Though the sparrow āeventā was in Paris and the food was a crepe, not chish and Fips.
Checking in. 61 AF, 32 weed free. Good morning from the psych ward! I slept like a baby, thanks to heavy meds. I donāt have sleeping pills at home, but Iām not worried. Nothing much to report from here, just another day in paradise. Taking a walk and then just reading a book. Pretty mellow day ahead, I suppose. Have a great day/evening, sober fam!
@MrMoustache you really sound so much more positive and grounded. You really did take good care of yourself checking into the psych ward and I am glad it helped you so much. Just a couple of days and you are home
Keep it positive and stay grateful, you can do this!
@Finn reflecting om how your brain works can be really eye-opening. Iām glad you are now less worried about your future.
@Raspberry hope you had a good sleep, and woke up fresh after leaving a bit earlier then your friends. Fomo is a mindfuck⦠much better to listen to your tiredness ![]()
@HolySquid amazing count of days. I came here after a simple Facebook reel I saw. Sometimes thatās all we need for something to āclickā. I will check him out!
@Thumper1213 good job on 44 days!! ![]()
@Pamela Not so considered of your friend. Have you asked him why he does this and did you tell him it hurts you? Does he know you are sober now? Dont let it take you down. We all did stupid and accidental things when drunk and we canāt change that. Stay in the now and be proud of yourself.
@CanadianGirl thatās a great win! Another day to add to the pile. Proud of you ![]()
@CR84 must have been really difficult to deal with. But you were strong and true to yourself and your sobriety. Were you able to put it beside you after he left?
@Catmama23 horrible situation. Take care of yourself in the best way you can and stay sober! You probably already tried everything, but maybe a noice cancelling headphone might be an idea to try? And I also would make another complaintā¦
@JazzyS Hope you had a good night sleep and feel energized again. Take good care of yourself ![]()
Morning check in. Tonight at 20:00 I will hit double digits
Going to help a friend today moving, so rented a huge bus. Love to ride a bus so will be fun. Alsof had some better sleep last night which makes waking up so much better. Otherwise not much to tell or complain about so going slow but steady at the moment ![]()
Day 16
This saturday I was up early to go work on my camper van. I like working on it, but at the same time Iād love to sleep an extra few hours.
Every friday I go to my parents. These visits went from social visits to full workdays. I think I need to reevaluate my weekly schedule as I feel like Iām working seven days a week atm. My job, my parents, the van and on Sundays household chores. I am getting tired and Iād love to make time for a museum or a long nature walk. I feel like Iām always stressed out, thereās so much to do. Aaah!
Hi all, checking in on Day 120. I am so bored, need to find something to do. I am now waking up naturally at 6am which is fairly annoying during the week, but at weekends I just sit downstairs by myself for a few hours while everyone sleeps (I am aware that in 4 months time I will be here moaning about baby waking me up constantly
)
What would other people do with their time? I donāt really watch TV now, except a couple of family programmes we watch together, and football. My brain doesnāt seem to want to read a book while pregnant, so just feel like I am wasting my time a bit.
I love that these boring mornings are my current worries
No hangovers and regrets. I wouldnāt have the energy to be bored then!
I do hope that you are able to find time for yourself as it is no fun becoming burnt out and recovering from that level of exhaustion. Sending you hugs and hope you have a fabulous weekend ![]()
413 days
Had an awesome day, the kids and I went out to a beach where my oldest friends had organised a get together with all our families too. Most of these guys Iāve known for 30years. We grew up together and were best mates through till now. Most have families now and we donāt often all get together in the one place at the same time so definitely a day to remember. The kids loved seeing the other kids that theyāve known forever but donāt see regularly.
Most of them were drinking, a couple are off it but it was all love all around.
Lolā¦Iām sure you will have plenty to keep you busy in a few months and no time to be bored. For now I can suggest maybe starting the day with gentle yoga, meditation, working on a puzzle, paint by numbers or doing an adult coloring book.
Knitting/ crocheting is a great and I learned the basics from YouTube in case you donāt know how. The second hand stores always have stuff for sale too. Not sure if the baby brain would like this type of focusā¦but I figured Iād add to the mix.
Just a few ideasā¦hope you enjoy the peace and quiet this morning and have a wonderful day ![]()

Very short checkin. Will be off to my mumās in a few. Will maybe write more later.
Peace and love always ![]()
So many great posts, milestones and things to celebrate in the few days I have missed! Too many to comment on individually but I have celebrated every milestone and post. I love to see the community so busy.
Day 71
I finished the bedroom declutter. All the things I use and am keeping are neatly put away and all have a place. Deep clean in there today and I can move on to the next space. Progress not perfection. I really want to do the kitchen but it triggers hubs hoarding tendancies and he will buy 2 or 3 of anything I get rid of. (Prime example 3 x corkscrews. We donāt even use a corkscrew. The amount of wine I drank, I could not afford the kind that came with a cork!
) Baby steps.
My dad left for his trip to Texas to see my brother. He arrived at the airport at about 12 noon yesterday and I only found out his flight boarded at about 6am this morning⦠My brother called me to ask if Dadās ok and why is he at the airport a day early
. I did feel a little guilty as I could have taken him to the airport (an hour and a half each way) but thought that he should remain independant while he can and if I take him this first time then I will need to take him every time he goes anywhere. He has also booked a flight that has 3 stops so he will be travelling for a while. Then to add to it there is snow forecast in Houston for Monday which cracked me up since he was escaping the cold UK⦠how funny to go all the way to Texas for snow ![]()
Work is weird and stressful. I donāt really know what my new job is, donāt know my new boss from a bar of soap and have no idea what I am meant to be doing every day. Never mind. I can sit in front of my computer and declutter my bits and pieces until I find out. I have some meetings booked that are face to face and its a 7 hour journey each way to get to our new head office. Sigh⦠Time to be an adult and sort out my passport so I have photo ID and can drive to the airport and fly there which is only 2 hours and about the same price as the train journey.
At least I am sober so I can figure this stuff out. Have a great day sober fam.
I just did, thanks ![]()
Checking in on day 45! Hope everyone has a good day!
