Quick check in because the physical therapist told me I have extreme internal and external damage and he’s gonna write a report so I can file a claim and report things to the police.

I also made a few new photos of bruises and minor cuts, etc, I found today after a night’s sleep. This paper trail is gonna be long af so I can make the trial as short as can be. The more proof, the better. I did feel overwhelmed and cried a bit today because my hands are crucial for my job and I felt like I was back at square one. No bueno, though the assisted living nurse on duty got me through the full-on crying panic attack.

I feel rather unstable and quite butchered, energy-wise but knowing I most likely have a strong case with my lawyer and the physical therapist backing me up, as well as having tons of photo’s makes me feel solid at the same time again too.

Plus. No alcohol nor energy drinks were touched in the meantime. So that’s a win!

All in all I might even say I feel kind of happy.

Checking in.

I know I’m at 170 days porn free. Still AF and weed free too.

I did feel some sort of way when the girl I asked out explained herself a little more. I don’t know what it’s like to be a woman in this world and I am gathering that she thought I was gonna freak out or get mean if she said no. She let me dangle and her response was a non answer that left me feeling raw and confused. I did get a bit frustrated and decided I didn’t deserve that kind of treatment. Like, no you’re not obligated to respond in a timely way but courtesy between friends is a reasonable expectation isn’t it? Oh well, true colors shine through and all that.

I feel strangely pretty good right now. I can see more clearly that it just wasn’t a match and would’ve been just another woman who sought validation from many external sources and prides herself on being a bit of a challenge. Plus she’s not sober. I went through all of this without checking out through addictive behavior. Gonna pat myself on the back once more.

I meditated on letting go. Then went to the gym and tried out some of the new equipment they set up over the last three days. Now I’m gonna go take the dog for some play time and pick out a tree to decorate.

Kiddo is feeling better and will be able to perform in his play tonight. They have a matinee tomorrow that I’ll be going to.

I hope you all have a peaceful weekend!

I had been close to overeating tonight. I managed to find out what my body needed instead of food and the urge to overeat passed.

Thank you @Butterflymoonwoman for your support! :purple_heart:

Soon I can go to bed and I am so glad I will hit the pillow smoke free, binge eating free and sugar free. So grateful for this community!

Good morning friends :sparkles:
1348 days alcohol free
62 days THC free
It’s been an incredibly busy and stressful time over here. My son had court, which was not a terrible outcome and we have some support by the police to keep a curfew for him and to follow our house rules. Which will be helpful for us, because he’s spent so much time this year running off and the police weren’t able to help us at all. Now it’s follow our rules at home, or your breaking your court orders and you will face being arrested, so there’s some weight behind it. Which will help us get him some support for his mental health and regular medication.
I would say I haven’t broken my binge eating counter, but I have not been able to keep up with mindfully eating and I have overindulged in sweets a few times trying to distract myself from difficult times. It’s not been too extreme but it’s heading that way so I’m resetting my binging to bring my focus back. Stress is always a trigger. The alcohol noise this time of year is hard too, ‘Christmas fun’.
After our bad day at court my son said to me ‘I just want to get drunk’ and I tried to open my mouth to say something like, that won’t help, or it will only make it worse, but I was just in shock. I knew he was smoking a bit of weed but he’s at the age where him and his peers are wanting to experiment with alcohol and he’s already realised it’s an escape from shitty feelings. And it’s scaring the shit out of me. It doesn’t matter what I say to him about alcohol and addiction, he’s a teen and won’t listen. All I can do is actively show him you don’t need alcohol to cope, to model sobriety and dealing with hard times without alcohol. I will keep gently telling him how much worse alcohol and drugs will make his mental health but I know it will only be life and experiences that will teach him, and I’m so scared and worried for him.
Anyways, I’ll try to check in again more often. Life has just been really tough lately.

Day 18. I’m alright. I had big plans to sleep all the time, but this is hard for me, like who am I kidding. I’m releasing a lot!!! Still wobbly but understanding more and more how much I need to anchor myself in sobriety, that sober me is the best situation to create what I need and want to. Thanks for listening :pink_heart:

Checking in on Saturday evening

1081 days free of alcohol and weed

1496 days free of cigarettes

Grateful for getting in a doctor’s appointment first thing this morning and my parents being able to take me. Luckily they put me first and got me to X-rays right away. SO grateful that I’m just banged up. Nothing is broken. Just sprained, swollen and bruised and a few hairline fractures but nothing that won’t heal by just resting  I think I just received the last of the reports so now I can rest LOL.

I have taken the day to sleep or lay in rest and watch a lot of tv. Now catching up on TS :hugs:

Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day / evening – sending you all so much love

Checking in on day 865. It’s been howling wind and rain here on the west coast of England :cloud_with_rain: managed to get out for a soggy dog walk though and it felt good to be out in nature.

I’ve noticed an improvement in my energy levels this week. I’ve been following a keto diet, which is meant to improve ME symptoms because our mitochondria use fat more efficiently than carbs for energy production. I was skeptical, but committed to trying it for 2 months and I have to say I’m hopeful it is helping :raising_hands: :folded_hands:

@Lucalds congratulations on 100 days :partying_face::partying_face: @Madds congratulations on 1 year :partying_face::partying_face: awesome achievements

@SupermassiveDarkStar sorry to hear what happened to you. I hope you heal quickly :people_hugging:

@Alycia it sounds like you have so much going on with your son :people_hugging: well done for being such a strong sober role model!

@Just_Laura hope everything is okay friend
