Day 1655 clean and sober
Day 14 free from compulsive food behaviors

Its certainly going to take me a bit to catch up on this thread  Lots of activity here lately, which is awesome!

Things are going well today. Went to the gym this morning for a quick 30min cardio session, then hopped on an online mtg once home. My son started getting a bit of a fever this afternoon tho :frowning: Hope its nothing serious. He has his procedure next week and if he gets ill, the procedure will get postponed. Ill have to keep a close eye on him.

All n all tho things are good. Its my 2 weeks free from compulsive eating behaviors! I feel really good about that
I cant wait to put my 1 month coin in my coin keychain holder lol I ordered it some time ago but havent officially given it to myself yet as i havent reached 1 month.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Checking in

I had a nice day today, the weather sucked (very hot, cloudy and humid). I did some shopping in the morning, and gave in to buying (yet another) pijama at Primark! I have 20 PJ’s, well now I have 21…
Just came back from a lovely dinner in town.
Off to bed, and hitting my pillow sober! :folded_hands:

Day 6 sober from alcohol.

It was a pleasant day though we lost half of our snorkling equipment due to high or to be more exact strong waves later of the day  Anyways, bought us a new one.

I had some cravings, but then I smashed them away by realizing who I actually want to be in one year on - sober, doing sports, be healthy, be with my girlfriend and kids on vacation

Have a pleasant day sobers :hugs:

5y 11m 6d - Checking in at the end of another day sober. Work tomorrow which will be the first time since the fire so obviously a bit anxious about that but apparently life goes on so they say and now I’m sober apparently I have the tools to deal with life so they say. I don’t know who they are but apparently they don’t know shit.

Hell yea man keep it up! It might get harder before it gets easier, but it will be so worth it. Also, every day sober life get clearer, you start looking at life differently and you begin to notice things you didn’t before. Enjoy those moments and enjoy the times you are fully present with your girlfriend and kids

Day 44 Weed Free

Day 878 Alcohol Free

Had some thoughts of weed today but they were fleeting. It also helps that it’s not legal where I live so no quick way to get it. Not that I would indulge but it makes it easier not to go down that thought path. Still SOBER!

Yes girl! Fall is my favorite season and I have to make myself wait until September 1st to start decorating but I want to now. I am so glad to hear you are getting some sleep! Let’s hope it is more restorative soon. :pink_heart:

As an excellent couch potato, I think you are nuts :laughing: I do make myself exercise but not as often as I should. You are lucky you enjoy it, sigh, I wish I was more like that.

WOO HOO! I knew you could do it. This is truly good news @Butterflymoonwoman :100:

Oh so close to that one year mark. I LOVE seeing people hit that milestone @ Leveller. I bought myself a commemorative coin to mark the occasion. Do you have any plans for the day?

Ahhh this is a beautiful thing @EthanHunt I think you will find that gratitude can be found in so many everyday things. And as you practice gratitude it becomes easier to live in a grateful state of mind. You and I joined this forum around the same time and I have been inspired by watching your progress. :flexed_biceps:

Haha, I am :100: nuts! It honestly REALLY helps with my mental health and has always been a form of stress relief. Please know that I am also a giant home body/couch potato. Give me my pups, a good show and I am good.

@JP123 welcome back friend. Great to see you . Congratulations on your day 1…keep stacking up the days :flexed_biceps:t4:

You are absolutely capable. That does not mean the company can keep dumping more responsibility (even for a short period of time) and not compensate for it. I was sucked into this type of behavior in my last job and kept taking in more and starting work earlier/ leaving later and working weekends to get it all done. It nearly killed me and because it was gradual I didn’t see the damage till I was deep in it. Don’t second guess your capabilities. Do take care of yourself and don’t wear yourself out. I’m super excited for your upcoming competition…you are gonna crush it. Keep us posted!! Hoes the training/ prep coming along for your competitions?
@EthanHunt I love today’s message and grateful that it hit home for you. It’s never too late and I’m grateful that you are learning/ believing this too. Keep putting in the work and see yourself grow and heal in sobriety :people_hugging:
@Jules000 oh how fun. Looks like you both had a wonderful time! Keep living your best life :revolving_hearts:

That’s a sign of a full fullfilled day. Love that you are enjoying your vacation and able to get an early night so you can get a jam packed day of fun :hugs:
@Butterflymoonwoman congratulations on your 2 weeks. Keep up your amazing efforts. I’m sure you’ll be giving yourself your one month coin soon enough :flexed_biceps:t4:. Sending healing prayers for your son. Hope he can recover quickly from whatever bug he has :folded_hands:t4::folded_hands:t4::people_hugging:
@Bunto way to squash those urges! Love that you are looking ahead and wanting to see yourself sober and enjoying life. Keep putting in the work and you’ll get there! Sorry to heat about the equipment getting washed away. Grateful you were able to replace it :folded_hands:t4:
@Dolse71 best of luck with going back to work tomorrow.:folded_hands:t4: Hope you are able to call someone for support if you feel triggered in the environment tomorrow. You did just face a very traumatic experience. We will be here if you need us. :people_hugging::people_hugging:
@PinkFirefly whoohoo double 4’s is awesome!!!
Grateful you did not give into those urges…flex your badass sober muscles :flexed_biceps:t4::flexed_biceps:t4:. Love that you are a fall / Halloween kindred spirit. I do now keep some pieces year round for my inner comfort so that it’s not so bad to wait till September 1st lol. I’m super excited that the best season is upon us. :ghost:. Check out the Halloween thread if you haven’t already Year-round Halloween :jack_o_lantern:

Missed seeing this sign off :hugs:. Great to see the dogs and skunks are have an understanding.

Day 31 - Clean

I didn’t hear my alarm today. I set it for 5:00 AM but didn’t wake up until 6:30 AM. My sleep the night before wasn’t great—in fact, I barely slept at all because of mosquitoes. So, getting that extra sleep today left me feeling well-rested.

Now, I’m sipping my morning coffee while checking in on the forum. I took my morning medicine alongside some whole eggs. I think I’ll skip the morning walk with my dog today and take him out this evening instead.

I’ll head to the gym in an hour. It was closed for the past two days due to local festivals. I also need to start my course today. I plan to spend 1 to 2 hours learning and practicing because consistency matters more than perfection.

Looking back two years ago, I originally decided to take this course and apply for a full-time job. But back then, I’d start the course when sober, relapse, and stop altogether. There was no consistency. This time, I’m building real momentum.

Hope everyone is doing well :tada:

Whew what a day.
Started off with an AA meeting
Then dealt with doctors office, to make sure I didn’t have any lasting effects from last weeks issue… All good :raising_hands:t3:
Then park with the kids and took them to Culver’s.
I ate broccoli
Then I went to visit my friend. And we watched the sunset over the water. It was pretty perfect.
I even got a hug. :melting_face::sparkling_heart:

The drive home was nice, and I even saw some rain.

I went home and made some food..
Tofu nachos.. not vegan but no meat.

And then visiting with my older friend. Making sure she’s doing ok.

Such a nice day all in all. Eventful. But nice
