Desk bound boredom again :slightly_smiling_face:, still the people are pleasant and it brings in the readies.

Started the day off well with a nice dog walk. Will wear my professional hat until 6pm and then I can do the fun things again.

Happy sober 24 everyone

It’s 3:15 a.m. and I can’t sleep so I’ve been reading on here. Tomorrow morning I will be giving notice on my job, so I know that’s part of the reason I can’t sleep. I’m sure my boss will be surprised. It’s a good job and it’s kind of crazy I’m leaving it. Well, that’s the way things worked out. This other company will be a good opportunity and with nice people. More pay also. I hope everyone has a good day today. :pink_heart:

@Madds thanks love. Hope you have a much better day at work today :hugs:
@Danwood85 whoohoo  double digits :tada:. Hope you are able to rest up today. I know how hard it is to function in little sleep. Wow…you are really procrastinating a lot of thoughts. In addiction we can just coast through life ( not really living but existing). Think that’s why we can just keep going with our toxic relationships and routines. Glad you are finding a way to be kinder to yourself and get out of that toxic cycle :people_hugging:. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I appreciate em. :folded_hands:t4:

Sending energy your way. Hope you start feeling lighter and less tired soon. I absolutely hate having to go through the ba machines trying to get to a human. Hope you get. Call back soon and get this issue resolved :folded_hands:t4:
@Dustysprungfield great to see you Dave. How are you doing?
@Kareness hope all goes smoothly for you today. :hugs:

Checking in on Monday morning
Very tired but not sleepy. Had a crap night of sleep but that’s my normal it seems so I’m adjusting.
It’s been super humid since last night. Tried to turn the AC on but I got a really weird strong food type smell. Was to tired to investigate and couldn’t keep smelling it as it was making my head pound even more. Thank goodness for fans . Luckily smell is gone and AC is on this morning.
Plans for today.. swimming, PT and work

Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day
.
Sending you all so much love :heart:

Goddammit, I took AGAIN a long nap, this time 5hrs. I’m feeling so guilty about it, because I’m wasting so much of my day. I gotta stop sleeping so much, this is getting ridiculous. But other than that, I’m feeling ok, I guess. My plans for the rest of the day is going for a walk and reading a book. I wish you all a great and sober 24!

I so get this @JazzyS. My sons used to say I have a nose like a bloodhound because odd smells will send me over the edge! :joy:

Sorry to hear you didn’t sleep well. I hope tonight will be much more restful. :pink_heart:

455 days sober and alcohol free. Wondering if I should write these under: checking weekly -topic lol.

Have a great and addiction free day all! And if you are struggling remember one simple guide named ODAAT.

We are in California waters with service!

Im feeling extremely burnt out on this boat this morning. The people more than anything. They don’t pick up after themselves. They won’t do a dish or take out the garbage. Old school complains non stop and is toxic. His kid is lazy and always in the way. Cap is a moody a hole and im tired of just taking it.

At least the ocean is drop dead gorgeous today.

Hopefully we get them.

Im not hungover for the win! :flexed_biceps:

I realize it’s still early in quitting THC but maybe it would be helpful to see a doc about the excessive sleeping? I can sense your frustration and at the very least they might be able to offer some timelines for when you could expect to feel better. I am on Day 14 of quitting weed and I did experience mood swings the first week but not the excessive sleep you write about. I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for the recommendation, but I just think I’m lazy and my sleeping pattern is messed up, because I’m getting sleep around 3 AM and when I wake up, I’m tired as hell. I should just survive one day without sleep and then go to bed early. But I’m lazy and I love to sleep, haha!

Sending strength my friend. It all sounds frustrating to deal with in such a confined space to boot. Grateful for the waters to help calm. Hope the day gets better

Day 2 check in.

I only joined the forum yesterday but already it’s paying dividends as I had urges yesterday evening but instead of doing the “activity” I read some stuff on here and replied to some people.

I was going to go for a run this evening but decided I will do it tomorrow instead. I couldn’t really be bothered and it makes no difference whether I do it today or tomorrow.

Don’t worry it’s not my discipline sliding, I’ve done this a lot over the last few weeks where I’ve just changed the schedule around a bit. An extra days rest can sometimes help.

I’ve recently got back into running after a few years of not doing it. I’m at the start of week 5 and at the moment I’m doing 3 runs a week.

I really enjoy it as after a run I always feel better and clearer in my mind.

I wish I could bottle up that feeling exercise gives you because it would be nice to feel that way all the time

Anyway that’s enough rambling, one day at a time guys, let’s do it
