Year-round Halloween šŸŽƒ

Yes, you can celebrate Halloween year-round :jack_o_lantern::heart_exclamation::ghost:

Many people find ways to keep the Halloween spirit alive throughout the year, whether it’s through decorations, music, movies, or even by adopting a ā€œevery day is Halloweenā€ mindset.

Over the years I’ve noticed NYE Halloween parties, Halloween Valentine’s and 4th of July. 1/2 year celebrations in May, the year- round mindset is sinking in.
How to Celebrate Halloween Year-Round:

  • Decorations:

Some people keep Halloween decorations up year-round, or at least a portion of them, to maintain a spooky ambiance.

  • Music:

Listening to Halloween-themed music, especially those with a spooky or atmospheric feel, can help evoke the holiday spirit.

  • Movies:

Watching Halloween and horror movies is a popular way to enjoy the holiday throughout the year.

  • Reading:

Reading Halloween-themed books, anthologies, or even just horror stories can be a great way to immerse yourself in the spooky atmosphere.

  • Seasonal Treats:

Indulging in Halloween treats like candy or pumpkin spice lattes, even outside of October, can help bring back memories and feelings associated with the holiday.

  • Cosplay and Costume Events:

Some people participate in cosplay or Halloween-themed events throughout the year, even if it’s just for personal enjoyment.

  • Haunted Houses:

Creating or visiting a haunted house can be a fun and immersive way to celebrate Halloween year-round.

  • ā€œEvery Day is Halloweenā€ Mindset:

Some individuals embrace a ā€œevery day is Halloweenā€ mentality, decorating their homes and dressing in spooky attire, regardless of the season.

  • Halloween-Themed Activities:

You can enjoy various Halloween-themed activities like listening to Halloween podcasts, reading Halloween blogs, or joining Halloween communities online.

  • Growing Pumpkins:

Some people even grow pumpkins from May onward, further extending the Halloween season

What are some ways you keep the Halloween spirit alive year-round?

@Lezourez thanks for the idea…can’t believe we didn’t already have a thread

Cool idea for a thread! I really like Halloween and always have. I feel like I’m in the Halloween spirit year round and some other holidays as well. I probably am on the candy side of things as far as buying candy like it’s Halloween.

Also I like your new profile bubble photo. I don’t know what that’s called but I kept thinking recently that somebody new was liking my stuff or posting lol but then I didn’t realize it was you…

I love this thread idea! I’m a HUGE fan of horror films, including terrible ones haha. Somehow they really help my anxiety. I guess if I’m worried about a jump scare I’m not concurrently worrying about work or petty little life issues. I’m excited to see what comes up on this thread. Good idea Jazzy!

Taking long walks at night in the forest if you live in a rural area its even better that brings the vibe out for sure

I post our evening task list every day and I like to include emojis to make it more fun and not just a list of things to do. I recently started adding Halloween ones and one of the ladies was like it’s too early for that and I said NEVER!!!:jack_o_lantern::ghost::skull:

I will support the cause by getting pumpkin spice lattes

:rofl:. I love it. I do love the candy side of Halloween. I did go trick or treating until 25. Quit going when I for my house so I could scare kids and give out candy. Now I’m hoping to go TRT again once my health improves… nothing beats the rush of going door to door :ghost:
Lol ..too funny about the profile pic. I am also getting used to it.

@Madds love a good horror movie. I do get the feeling less anxiety with life’s shit when watching a suspense/ horror.

@Lezourez thanks for the idea for the thread. You should post your set up at home here too. Now it has a home for it

@Dreams oooh that would be the perfect vibe. I went to a haunted forest years ago and it was intense. They had piped a sound system throughout and creepy sounds played from time to time. The small huts placed throughout with haunted themes were also a great touch.

I love that and totally agree with Never too early. Halloween is not just a holiday it’s a lifestyle :jack_o_lantern:

@cjp. Love me so pumpkin spice lattes … pumpkin anything actually. Had to make a pumpkin pie the other week. Also stock up on my favorite pumpkin spice and autumn spice teas cause you can’t find them outside of October. When I had my bakery I would provide pumpkin items all year round…big sellers.

I’ve been giving some serious thought to the principal of all year
Hall :ghost: we :jack_o_lantern::jack_o_lantern:n.

The idea is sound, in fact it is more than sound, it must be written in to the law, thus forcing all major stores to have an aisle permanently dedicated aisle to this grand institution :mage:

But, is one official Halloween night really enough?
I think we all know the answer to that which is a resounding NO.

So, I propose we have the original Halloween the Witches cut at the end of October,
Halloween 1 at the end of May, Halloween 2 at the end of July, Halloween 3 at the end of September,
and Halloween the Michaels Myers cut, December 25th, 26th and 27th.

All these dates will become mandatory public holidays, with no state or western country being able to ā€˜opt-out’

For you ā€˜nay sayers’ out there, who say that it would be too light Halloween 1, 2 & 3.
Just think of how our Southern cousins in Australia and New Zealand manage at the moment with Halloween falling in their Summer :scream:

This would mean that I have a chance of barbecuing without a big coat, patio heater, fire pits and a gazebo

I will be campaigning to become the next British PM, with my whole manifesto based around these core pledges of, Halloween 365¼, 7 days a year being dedicated to Halloween, no tax on Halloween decorations, large kitchen knives, hockey masks, finger knives, pumpkins and pumpkin spice lattes, which are to be provided free, for everyone from All coffee vendors all year round :+1:

I think I’ve got a good chance of getting in, as it’s a better manifesto than all the other parties had last time.
So vote ā€˜All Hallows EVES’ for a better fun filled year

I was looked at funny last week when someone saw my Halloween socks (of course that shit don’t bother me)…just Great to see others celebrating the spirit all year.
