Corona virus

Nice! People are doing that here too. So much that all of the aloe & rubbing alcohol are sold out everywhere!

You would have to go with moonshine. Vodka doesnā€™t have enough alcohol to be on the safe side of effective.

And, well, liquor is all sugar. Who wants that on their hands???

Plusā€¦vodka and drunksā€¦not wise.

Man all these Facebook with the schedules parents are creating for kids who are out of school remind me of my rehab schedule. These kids arenā€™t goddamn drug addicts. They donā€™t need their whole day planned to the minute. Next thing you know parents are going to be kicking down doors at 3 a.m. screaming ā€œVitals!!!ā€, with a thermometer in their hands.

My 4 year old probably got a good solid 5 hours or so of screen time today :grimacing: I tried to make a work call and he was yelling in the background from bathroom ā€mummy, I didnā€™t poop a clunker, it was a smooth landing!ā€ Then he started to practice yodeling. Thatā€™s a glimpse of our schedule :joy: but we played outside and in the camper! Bonus

Hell let them enjoy it. One day they are going to wake up one day and be adults and they wonā€™t be able to do nothing all day.

My kids are on March Break so no schedule at all!!! Next week will be interesting though.

Yeah for sure. Especially when I have to say no to his requests to go to library, play centre, park etc as everything shut down. Iā€™m ready to buy a big outdoor trampoline now that snow is melting. No sibling or pets so it gets boring fast for him, especially if Iā€™m working from home during all this. So definitely no rigid schedules here. Might be homemade play dough tomorrow!

So my Dad FINALLY made it home from Spain but is required to self isolate for 14 days. As a result he asks me to pick up groceries for him. A few veggies, a bit of meat, juice, bread etcā€¦and a BOX of red wine and a BOX of white wine. Basically enough food for a few days but enough wine for weeks!! It was not fun going into the liquor store. But I got in and out ok.

Honestly, I just wanted people to laugh at my rehab comparison, but then I forget a lot of people donā€™t need to be stashed away for 30 days to get sober so they have no idea what Iā€™m talking about :joy:

I am glad your Dad is home safely!!! My husband was going to ask me to get him more booze when he was self quarantinedā€¦I am grateful he didnā€™t. I just canā€™t imagine going in a liquor store.

I did laugh at that.. I just wonder what my week will be like next week. They may drive me so freakin batty it WILL be rehab schedule. (And vitals checks sound like a good idea right now!!)
