Thanks! I love sunflowers!

Dusting off this old thread because I have got my knitting mojo back now that I have put down the bottle. Watch this space for a simple mindless shawl coming up in the next few days.

Anyone else got anything on the hook/ needles?

Oh this is beautiful and I look forward to seeing the progress. I have a blanket and shawl that one day will be completed :joy::joy:. Other small stuff two but just haven’t been able to get back into it…was hoping to pick up after Thanksgiving

Thanks for reviving the thread! That’s beautiful, I love the muted colors. I’m a crafter, mostly knitter, and have my mojo back as the weather turns colder so I am itching to start a project. That’s my goal for the weekend, I’ve certainly got a huge yarn stash to choose from! I’ll update when I get a plan going.

I finally broke the seal and started a knitting project. (@TrustyBird) It’s been probably around a year since I’ve picked up the needles. I had promised a friend some fingerless mittens for her now 10 year old daughter a long time ago, so I’m starting there. Guessing on the dimensions (using mine for reference) but luckily I’m going to see my 5 yo niece this weekend/next week so I can test them out on her. She has loooong fingers! At least I’ll get an idea of how close I am. This yarn is from my stash leftover from some leg warmers I made for a friend several years ago. These work up quickly so I need to plan a larger project I can take with me when I visit my family next week, since I hear my mom just started a big project and I want to knit with her!

I found these swatches I made last year as I was looking for a lace stitch I liked for a chunky but airy scarf/shawl. I’ll likely move forward with that project. Just need to pick a stitch and choose which yarn. Most likely the cream colored organic cotton yarn that has been in my yarn stash for almost a decade.

Thanks for reviving this thread @Lastry
I’ve not crocheted for at least a year, if I’m not mistaken. But seeing your project inspired me to pick it up again.

Just started.

That is going to be so cute @HolySquid. I promised myself I would tidy up my office so I have gathered together all the WIPs and they are getting finished one at a time. I didn’t say how quickly I would tidy it but I figured getting all the projects finished and put away would be a good start!

Shawl is on hold temporarily. My son asked for an outfit for his friends 3 month old baby that has outgrown his 3-6 month clothes! The brief is “He is a chunky one with a massive head”. I’m going to do a little jumper, hat and socks with a teddy weaing a matching jumper. The softest King Cole Fjord DK in a self striping for the win!

I love self striping yarn! But I also would like to get back into fair isle knitting as I’ve only ever just done swatches to try it out. Same with intarsia. It’s a fun challenge! I’ve got to get back to basics and work my way back again, however.

I love making baby clothes!

One finished elephant :elephant:

This pattern was super easy to follow, but the yarn in the kit was just not enough. I had to use a different light grey from my stash around the ears.

And I know just the right person to give this cutie to as a Christmas present :gift:

Now… let’s see what abandoned and forgotten works in progress I find in my drawers to finish off next.

Cardigan for my nephew. He’s a big boy already at 4 months old, he probably fits this size now  (ok, not quite lol!) so I need to finish it ASAP! All that is left is the trim/collar + buttonholes/buttons. It’s so soft, a cotton blend.
