That is amazing!!! I crochet but am so much more impressed with knitting.
I wish I did…all I can say is good luck with that! I had to abandon a project that used a thin strand of mohair paired along with a regular yarn and even that threw me off. I think fuzzy bears are often sewn rather than crocheted or knitted unless someone is really talented!
Thanks, Rosa. Dang it! I will poke around at Michael’s again and see what I can find. Saw a precious felt bear somewhere on here. Might buy one if it’s cute. Then continue on my yarn quest.
BTW - I do love me some mohair!!
Yeah, what @RosaCanDo said: good luck.
Fuzzy yarn is a nightmare to work with, especially for amigurumi where tight stitching is required. I’ve never managed it.
But there is a nice not-fluffy chenille yarn around for making toys. It’s called Ricorumi Nilli Nilli. It makes very squishy toys. You have to watch your tension, go looser then you would normally do. And don’t overstuff.
Gosh that is beautiful! What stunning work. I am back from my trip now and picking up my pullover to get that finished now and on to to other unfinished business.
I will post again when finished and blocked.
Yours is a beaut too! Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Love this! The pattern is amazing . Can’t wait to see it completed
Love this! What beautiful work. Wow @lavender_butterfly hope to see more of your finished stuff
Wow…
That’s lovely. A lot of detail . Thanks for sharing your work
It’s nearly a jumper! I should be done in a few days and then have to decide if I pick up and finish one of the many many projects I have hanging around or I start something new with the Hobby Craft haul from yesterday. I got sweater quantities of each of the 3 in the photo. Hmmm… decisions.
This is so gorgeous!
That’s so lovely
Oooh this is coming together nicely. The dilemma of starting a new project or finishing old ones… hopefully a pattern will speak to you and help make the decision easier . Look forward to seeing what you decide
Finished the above and done a few newborn jacket style cardigans - all still need sewing and blocking but I have picked up…
Dun dun dun… The Marie Wallin Samphrey! It’s happening! What it should look like when I finish
Vs
Where we are currently at…
A lot going on here – will be a fun pattern to work with - you already have a great start! Can’t wait to see it finished
That’s an absolutely stunning pattern!
I hope I do it justice. I’m doing a tube in the round and going to steek sleeve holes and make it a cardigan instead of pull over.
Might be a bit too ambitious but we’re doing it!
That looks amazing! Love the colors!!
