Daily fitness check in 💪 (Part 1)

Just trained arms today, yay :smiley:

I started dieting today, gonna set my goal weight to like probably between 160-170lbs. Currently at about 190lbs. Doing my good ol’ high protein diet aiming for 190g of protein per day (although will probably end up being lower realistically based on the past sadly) with maybe like a 250-500 kcal caloric deficit. Started tracking my caloric intake again and whatnot.

I find dieting like this helped me lose weight in the past. Although, I am concerned that if I relapse on my drug of choice and/or lose the ball on fitness I’ll likely regain the weight again as my body always wants to be fat lol.

Hopefully I don’t end up yo-yo dieting and stick to fitness and sobriety :slight_smile:

Just trained chest and back today! Started cutting weight from 190lbs → 160-170lbs since yesterday :smiley:

I don’t understand how, but I hit a nice PR today in flat bench dumbbell presses! I’m now slightly stronger than the most fit I ever was back in 2019 :smiley: (I’ve been inconsistent with the gym ever since addiction started for me, until about a month ago)

Did legs today yay! I maxed out the leg press machine for 10 reps with a 2-4 seconds on the lowering of the weight with as fast as possible for the pushing the weight up part :smiley: The machine is pretty easy to max out though. Only goes up to like 200lbs but still! Free dopamine! :DDD

Did 220 pushups, 20 bodyweight squats. Getting back into the swing of things.

Trained biceps/triceps/deltoids today; it is perhaps my favorite day!!! :smiley:

So my right tricep tendon inflammation thing healed, but now my left bicep tendon thing is inflammed somewhere at the elbow. I gotta let it heal, so now I’m stuck with training mostly legs for like a week :sob: :crying_cat:

Back to my dance challenge. New roommate and when hubby home is tough to dance like no one is watching. I have to overcome this thought process. Oh yippee another mental adjustment needed. I will add it to my list. Haha

I did train chest and biceps today. Proud of myself for keeping on track. I’m not sure I’d even be sane right now if it wasn’t for the gym routine I’ve cultivated over the last few weeks.

Proud of everyone for showing up for yourself and for ensuring your bodies are cared for.

Realistically, for Dragon ball Z, i would skip the first like 8ish episodes.

It’s weird.

My son loves those Anime Music Videos AMV.

Like, he won’t sit and watch it over and over. Plus when we’re hanging out, we just do stuff.

But, Power Rangers. I forgot about that show. :rofl:

But, that’s good. Getting the kids involved is always great, sets a tone for there life in influence.

Thats why we got sober, in our deepest of hearts. To influence for good, even in our own mishaps.

Started getting my body weight squats in, I think I did 60 today. Bulged 2 discs moderately a couple years ago so I don’t do anything heavy but apparently you get some good stability strength with quads so I’m working on that slowly but surely.

Just did a midnight workout! :smiley: Did mostly legs while I wait for my elbows to heal.

Was a bit difficult to stay motivated for the workout tonight, since it was just me alone in the condo gym and because it’s super late here in Toronto right now. But still, got it done anyway mostly because I know it’s doing a lot to help me stay sober, so trying to be as consistent as possible :slight_smile:

1 more month until I can get back to the gym and my routine! Focusing on diet right now. But boy do i ever miss it. Reading all of ur fitness posts is making me want to hit the gym! Great job everyone :dizzy:
