I felt myself getting anxious in traffic yesterday and did a few deep breaths and it really helped as well

Quiet day, grateful
Such a good challenge! Did my first five breathes and it reminded me how much I need to slow down. Thank you for this!
Four minutess here I come … and there it went.
4.5 minutes
Coffee then meditation; maybe not the best idea. But it was good. It was work. But it was good.

I have skipped a few days…
But I just did 4.5 minutes, and I feel very relaxed
4 1/2 mantra used today, " I am. In this. Here now." The mantra reduced my wandering thoughts, it worked.
I too have been using what my Mom calls our family mantra. I use it when I notice that I’m wandering… I am happy, healthy and strong.
Four and one half minutes done
Fuuuuuck. 5 minutes.
That was hard. I think I’d rather be suffering through a plank
I don’t have a comfortable spot or chair. But if I do I tend to fall asleep. I actually thought 5 minutes was too long and couldn’t quiet my mind.
Sometimes I did use a mantra. “In this moment,” it help.
I feel the next time I do 5 it will be easier.
I do like reading other peoples comments.

Day 18 already. 5 minutes
5 minutes, stillness is good!

Kind of a fight to the finish. But when I finish, it always seems like I’m finally in level. Like I finally got it down and then the gong goes off and it’s over.

I got my 5 minutes in today.
It was actually difficult. I haven’t slept well the last two nights so I felt jittery today. Then the bottom of my foot started itching and then my neighbors were letting off fireworks randomly. I thought why is that a thing? Anyways never really was able to quiet my mind- obviously! Maybe I’ll try Insight Timer tonight and do a guided one.
Going for five minutes now, quietly and calmly I hope. Doing it whether it works or not is half the battle. Just trying to do it is sometimes all that matters. Peace be with you.

Day 20 complete, it seemed easier now that I have come back from that weekend away.
Day 20 5 minutes
I cheated big time. I just got back from a 30 minute foot reflexology massage. Then did the 5 minute challenge. Never felt better
