Day 0 of No Binge eating

I binge ate tonight and I’ve been dieting decently for the past month ans a half but I’ve had about 3 days of just 2500+ calories and I’ve felt so lost and I feel like I’m gonna lose so much progress and its actually driving me insane because I wish I could go back in time and prevent it

But tomorrow I’m going to do it I’m going to get back into my diet and update

Hey Charly, Welcome to TS.

You might want to check out this thread: Binge eating recovery daily check in thread (Part 3)

Binge eating is hard. But we can fight it together :people_hugging:

Imagine you’re flying in an airplane, and you hit turbulence. It shakes and loses quite a bit of altitude in the process. Would it be reasonable for the pilot to crash, because you’ve lost a little altitude? Of course not!

I’m so proud of you for continuing to try. If there is a next time, don’t wait for the next day. Look at it nonjudgmentally, review your triggers and use your skills, and get back up to altitude.

I believe in you!

Hi Charly! Welcome to the forum! I am in a very similar situation as urself. I too am on a weight loss journey trying to improve my health, but I also struggle with disordered eating/binge eating. As @DanielaJ mentioned, theres a thread for binge eating. Its an amazing group of people that all struggle with similar issues.

Also, idk if this will help ease ur mind… But having 1 night of overeating/binge eating WILL NOT lose all ur progress. 1 lb of fat is equal to 3500 calories. Ud have to eat 3500 calories ABOVE the calories ur body uses to maintain life (to breathe, digest, to move etc) to gain 1 lb of fat. If u end up stepping on the scale tmrw and u see a big weight increase, thats most likely water from ur binge. Try not to stress over it. It will settle after a few days. Just get right back on track with ur health journey

Hope to see u on the binge eating thread
