DIY Home Projects

I’ll definitely post some more, the vanity came out just like the picture the wife showed me, on pinterest it had like an 1800 price tag, this was under a hundred and looks fantastic

Does building flat pack furniture count??:laughing:
I’ve been putting together furniture for my little girls room (have to do the wardrobe today) and a massive dolls house. Its almost as big as me :laughing:shes very happy with it although my hands are now all blistered and more to do today :scream:

I’d say so, you’re doing the work and DIY is all about doing it yourself!

Took the best part of 3 hours this thing, but it was well worth it, I have a very happy 6 year old on my hands :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Just a start on yard renovation. Moved in on November 23 and the snow made it hard to get anything done. Now with the weather getting better, time to get the fence, fire pit, and shed for the quads made. Will update pictures with progress.

Oh my, I moved into a new appartement, so I did so many DIY projects since March  built loads of Ikea-furniture, struggled to drill holes in those old building walls … but the balcony is by far my favourite! Here is the before:

Here is the progress and after (you can’t see that I also painted the walls and window frames ):

Love to see your guys projects!

It’s taken some strained mental health on all parties, quite a few hours, lots of buying and returning because the game planned changed so many times but it’s about 90% finished. All the rough work is done, needs some finishing and some flooring.

It’s my mom’s place, spent this last weekend with the wife ripping her God awful kitchen ceiling down and redoing it, out of our own pocket, early birthday/we love you you old broad type of deal. She hasn’t been in this good od spirits in some time, especially when it comes to her domicile.

It went from this old enclosed space

To this much updated and open space

This is what the wife and I spent the last 3 days doing

Wish I had some better pictures of the old ceiling, it was bad, we ripped it out and realized a bunch of studs needed to be put in because the old furring strip truss set up was in shambles. Added a boat load of insulation and we are so itchy.

Glad we’re in a position to not only do the work but to pay for it, sobriety looks good on anyone who wears that suit

I like it, mom loves it now, it’s just a pure win. Spend time with wifey, mom, kids got to hang with garm (that’s grandma’s nickname) and getting paid with some tears, thank yous and the biggest squeeziest hugs.

Spent yesterday morning sprucing up the side balcony (the one off the master bedroom). 4’ x 12’, good bit of room.

Fake turf, couch, plant table, lights. Got a new agave because everyone needs a friend.

Will be getting better cushions for the couch, and something more colorful. A few pieces of outdoor art. Maybe a privacy curtain for the opening directly next to the couch.

Anyhow. Small, easy things but really made it a space we can enjoy.
