Good to know as I was looking at my floors like hmmmmm…that looks fun! I have a dog, a cat, my son and I’m legit always making a mess-easy to clean is a must for me lol! Sorry you had to find out the hard way though, it really is beautiful though
What makes it difficult?
I quite stupidly walked mud in and of course it dried. Went in the grooves on each plank. Definitely need some kind of runner down the middle on a decent mat at the front.

Base coat is on. We had planned to instal butcher block…the prices with inflation were crazy. So we are trying a product to make it look that way. I was skeptical…still a little.
The video says that it will feel like wood. The base coat feels like you are running your hand over a 2x4. After breakfast we will start applying the stain.
