In early sobriety I drank lots of seltzer, but my fave was plain water with a splash of POM pomegranate juice, or tart cherry juice. Now I pretty much drink plain water, or coffee.
Diet sodas have more caffeine than regular sodas do.
If I buy a 2L bottle, it’s gone within 24 hours. I don’t buy it often, but when I do it’s Coca-Cola or Cherry Coca-Cola, so full of sugar too. I used to drink 3 cans of energy drink a day too but stopped that around the same time I stopped alcohol, and can count on one hand the amount I’ve had this year. I still get cravings for fizzy sugary drinks though, but I don’t drink them as often now. It’s probably safe to say I’m addicted to Orange, Lemon, and Pineapple Squash though, I’m drinking 12 litres a day, people say it’s not normal but I can’t imagine how I’d go about drinking less, I’m always so thirsty!
