Breakfast for dinner!

Ha yes, sort of!

I legit thought in this plate you were attempting something like @Alisa’s cute turkey and reindeer above. It seemed a bit Picassian, this.

More comfort food on today’s American Election Day. Poblano chicken etc soup mixed with leftover rice. It’s going to be a long night.

Not making anything specific, I just took a trip to the local Indian supermarket where, fortunately for me, they sell Indonesian red chilli sauce aka Sambal Oelek as well!

Currently munching on a sandwich smothered in Hot & Sweet Indian ketchup and my lips are on fire :fire::yum:

I can’t take a huge amount of heat these days (heartburn ruins me!) but I love sambal oelek and I didn’t realize it was Indonesian! I added my favorite Cholula hot sauce to my dinner. I refuse to let spice go completely and just suffer for it.

Heartburn can FRO :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: (different thread, but hey)

Love em all :heavy_heart_exclamation:. So cool that you add yo sandwich…I’ve only eaten chilies with sandwiches…will have to add hot sauce the next time

Due to health issues I messed up my stomach lining and wasn’t able to eat spicy foods for some time. What helped get me back is having a tbsp of coconut oil in the morning and a tbsp of olive oil during the day with warm water :man_shrugging:t4:… It did help me…not sure if it’s a proven cure

I am going to Maastricht for a short trip next month. Christmas market and sightseeing. I am looking forward to some Dutch treats, as the cuisine is really close to the German one and reminds me of home.

I had a whole tonne of weird bits and bobs and leftovers and veg needing using yesterday so I made a kind of brunch stew:

Leftover black pudding
Leftover cooked sausages
One Aubergine
One fennel
Three red onions
One yellow pepper
Chickpeas
Mutti pomodoro tomatoes
My Brazilian spice mix that I make myself
Coriander stalks

A crumpet was leftover as well from my supper last night, and I also added a couple of beautiful farm eggs.

So yummy :yum:

Seems like I’m the only one with any appetite today. It’s understandable :grimacing::kissing_heart:

Paprika, sour cream, honey, soy and dill chicken leg with roasted med vegetables on mushroom rice.

I feel it’s my civic duty to actually feed you all today and to tuck you into bed with a nice hot water bottle :kissing_heart:
