I cooked the lovely Andi Oliver’s Umami Mushroom curry, served with turmeric chips, lemon and ginger dressed Callallo and plantain. Extra chilli and toasted coconut on top.

We’ve been dreaming of a hot roast beef sammie for a while. Today was the day! Mine has double crème Brie and his has Colby. Both had my fella’s special “nuclear mustard,” I don’t know what all was in it but it was great. Hot whole grain mustard, horseradish, Worcestershire, other stuff? I’m in a food coma after half a sandwich! Other half saved for later. Won’t be fresh and hot but that’s okay. God, the hot Brie on roast beef was such a beautiful combo.

They had some insane pancake menu items like

Green Tea Tiramisu
… Aromatic green tea pancakes topped with green tea tiramisu mascarpone sauce & whipped cream

Blueberry Cheesecake Pancakes
… Blueberry pancakes topped with blueberry coulis, cream cheese mousse, whipped cream & almond crumble

And they had a whole section of Soufflé Pancakes :man_shrugging:

Cast iron seared king salmon, roasted curry cauliflower and a little salad. I fancied some radishes and they were all mine :smiley:

Ate at this Mediterranean place called Hovan. I have walked past it many times but went there today for the first time. I can’t remember if this was lamb or pork I think lamb, Rice, Tabouleh… Not sure if I’m spelling that right, and some kind of salad that had tomatoes and maybe cucumbers. Regardless it was really good and I think my body was craving some nutrients and real food. Definitely going to go back. It had really cool vibes and the music and the way the restaurant was set up I felt like I was in a different country. And the owner she was really nice…
