I almost always used to drink wine while cooking. I thought it made it more fun. Well, I’ve been cooking sober lately and I really enjoy it!

Wild mushroom couscous salad with onions, green pepper, mushrooms, padron peppers, gem lettuce, garlic and halloumi. It’s yummy :yum:

I thought it was required. Early on I kept a wine glass with some sparkling water in it while I cooked. And drank it by the gallons.

Got these on thrift books. There’s a few restaurants that I frequent to get to go orders want to start cooking at home but I don’t know anything. In the encyclopedia book I’m going to start with the eggs section. Then I can eat at home and save money and feel better and I will post my creations in the future. Living on snacks and to go orders is getting old. Going to start with the basics and go from there. This thread has definitely been motivational seeing all the wonderful food everybody cooks. Thank you

Thanks for the advice. To be honest the only thing I know how to cook is rice lol. Been surviving on rice for years. But I want to learn more about cooking meat specifically and entrées in general. I definitely have to start from the beginning with most basics. So I figured I would start with the egg section. I will definitely take it one step at a time.

you got this friend – YouTube tutorials are also helpful

Some recipes online have pictures or videos attached to them. I don’t have any advice on meat dishes but maybe others here will be able to give pointers to what you wanting to make.
