Thank you for my first and only laugh in DAYS!
Breakfast:
Chicken, yellow sweet potato, garam marsala broccoli topped with roasted almond slices and a smear of greek yogart beneath. A bit of pickled veg (radish, carrot, and onion), olives, fresh cherries, plain greek yogurt, a square of 99% dark chocolate, and a few pistachios.
Made cherry clafoutis for my husband to have in his lunches. It was my first time making it and I can see where improvements can be made. Most of the cherries ended up living at the bottom ![]()
I had to look it up! I may try to make that GF. I am sure it will end up a bit wonky - but cool.

Apparantly you must dredge the cherries in flour so that they ‘float’ rather than sink in the batter. I do love a nice clafoutis!
My local coffee shop Ragamuffin, while I wait for my cars smog test. Next time I’m getting an egg on both pieces. So good.

My turn to cook. Skate wings (from our recent trip away that we froze) in lemon caper butter sauce. Asparagus tips, baby potatoes and my favourite fish accompaniment : braised fennel, peppers and onion in tomato, garlic and olives, with pine nuts and fresh dill and mint.
