I love when food trucks come to town!!
A lovely treat after a long day at work ![]()
Oh my!!
looks amazing
I had a really productive day out and about. Today was the first time in a long time where I felt truly independent again. I’ve given up the poison and a toxic relationship. I live alone for the first time in my life, I work for myself and I managed to save and buy my own car in cash. It’s crazy where sobriety can bring us and where we came from. I will also add that my last relapse brought me down such a dark hole and when I crawled out of it, I realized I’m so much stronger than I ever gave myself credit for. We all are! ![]()
So to end the day right I’ve made homemade tortillas for a delicious chicken burrito with cilantro lime rice.![]()
You are smashing it honey ![]()
It. Is. Hawwt. Damndiggidy fuckadoodledo hot.
And will be until next week, 38 c everyday, zero AC. And I have an interview in the middle of this shithousery! And my other half is leaving me here with the furbies for a few days to melt.
So today we planned and cooked for a couple of hours to make boxed up bits and bobs for the entire week..
Tuna veggie pasta salad
Lentil, chickpea and beetroot lemony salad
Minted potatoes in butter
Plain roast chicken
Portions of overnight protein oats on top of homemade fresh blueberry and mango compote.
I may not be into this heat, but at least I will eat!
That’s hot. I’m glad that you have your meals fixed where you don’t have to do any cooking in that kind of heat. I didn’t have air conditioning with temperatures that high and higher until I was in my mid 40s. Yes, it was hot. My go to was to wet my shirt. Sometimes sleep with a damp towel on top of me. A cool shower or ice cold swim in fresh water in any case.
I have no pic but went out for lunch for Father’s Day today and I had “ the big dill” burger with poutine and it was fabulous ( and fattening
)
Now, here is tonight’s dinner . I’ll have to take the dogs for a longer walk tonight to help burn some of this all off…
Door Dash for the win!!
OM THAI
PANANG CHICKEN CURRY with Thai basil, green bean, bell pepper, kaffir lime leaves, and peanut sauce, slow cooked in a creamy coconut milk. With spicy veggie fried rice.
We didn’t have any electricity so we ordered some Thai food. Never heard of this place before. Just took a chance. It was really good ![]()
