Foodies Unite #2

Thanks @Salty
I heard there was a foodie thread. Looks like it was 7 days old. Made a great meat sauce Tuesday night very comforting. I prefer linguine wifey prefers spaghetti. So we have it with spaghetti :joy: The easiest things seem to be the most comforting.

Wednesday Night
Ginger Soy Salmon and green beans.

Ha! I compromised too as hubby loathes whole grain pasta so I did white tonight.
I try to make whole grain for my noodle-obsessed 5 year old for more fibre/nutrition. And I switch up shapes for him for variety as he’s so picky but at least he’ll try different shapes. And even chickpea pasta, black bean, lentil pasta etc. Although only butter & cheese; no sauce
Salmon looks amazing!! Yum

Made a honey, almond milk, and matcha ice drink!
My afternoon cocktail. I love to make mocktails! They are creative way to have a fancy drink with no alcohol!

Been a while since I posted supper pics. Here we have roasted pork tenderloin with a raspberry balsamic reduction sauce, gratin potatoes and roasted asparagus.

Next time a basil pesto instead of the chopped basil??

Yummy! Which matcha brand do you use? I get matcha love. It’s already sweet and tasted better than Starbucks  but always up to trying different brands!

I use this brand Jade leaf. It’s delicious! I sweeten myself with a little bit of honey.

Yesterday I got take out lunch… Kimchee bowl. Brown rice, sautéed kale, sprouts, purple cabbage, peanuts, sunflower & pumpkin seeds, kimchee with a delicious peanut satay dressing.

What is this dish?? :no_mouth:

This is a common dish here in Canada. It’s called Poutine. Typically French fries, gravy (or poutine sauce) with cheese curds. Some places do shredded cheese but the curds are the authentic way and are the best!
These fries were made using fresh potatoes and deep fried :yum:

Interesting! :open_mouth: I like all of those things but never had them together. Obviously not available where I live
