I sumbled upon this recipe and tried it. Not what I expected, not that much earthy flavor. Not bad,
Not the best either way. Loved the color though.

I always thought that flap jacks were pancakes… but I was wrong apparently :wink:
is it then the same as shortcake or so?

Now this is retail therapy for me! This just arrived, a Belgian 7-ply inox skillet that will (should) last me my lifetime. It takes some skill and technique and patience to fry in it but when used right the results are terrific. Will keep you posted how I and it do together :heart_eyes: :sunglasses: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Not sure yet. I’m eating less and less meat. Still a really good steak might be it. The makers advise peanut oil as first choice because it gets really hot but butter should work as well. No sunflower or extra virgin olive oil because that will burn.
