Thanks!

Yeah for some reason I had it in my head that the thread name referenced ā€œcookingā€, but Iā€™m just imagining things :yum:

For my late 300 day celebration I made a prime rib.
A little over cooked but still great!

These messy chef salads might not look special, but I managed to chop all this up (there are lots of veggies hiding under there :joy:) and not be brought to tears by pain! Iā€™ve started using compression gloves and a wrist brace at times and today I tried using this silicone cover meant for cast iron pan handles. It fits on some of my knife handles and helps a lot. Iā€™m a bit sore and twingey afterward, but itā€™s a huge improvement. Thereā€™s hope! Iā€™m so grateful.

Prime Rib is one of my absolute favorite meals. Whereā€™s the horseradish?

Oh I got horseradish. Itā€™s on the table. I got the real thing and also the creamy kind.
Prime Rib is just a vessel for horseradish.
:joy::joy:

Hey there Sweety. What is it that you have with the hands and wrist if I might ask? Sounds disabling and ouchā€¦ I have / had it due to my condition in forms looking like artritis or carpal tunnel. Last year could almost not do anything anymore not even sleep without a brace for the pain. I have some interesting excercises might you be interested. You are way to good of a cook to miss out on that fun :wink: Not food related from me this, but I am having a breakfast cake on the site for your info :wink:
Let me know if so!

I actually hated them (for no reason at all besides I was never really a pepper fan) until I decided to give a recipe a shot, now I incorporate them in a few different dishes, totally helps with bringing out the flavor.

Nothing special, just a meatloaf with roasted brussel sprouts with a honey balsamic glaze and mashed taters with a tangy gravy.

OH those sprouts look tasty :yum:

Light super tonight. Trying to work in more fish into my diet. Pan cooked lemon dill haddock with butter & salt, roasted broccoli, and strawberries :strawberry: (little guy wanted berries, no broccoli, and he got a side of noodles instead lol)
Iā€™m not great at cooking fish. Iā€™ll keep trying :tropical_fish:

@Dejavu great mindsā€¦
I was desperate to eat so I only got a quick action shot before tucking in. My favorite chipotle meatloaf turned out especially tasty after not having made it in several months. Used the drippings to make a killer gravy. And I feel solidly back in the kitchen with some precautions for preventing and managing pain! Hooray!

Thatā€™s a pretty plate! I think white fish is best kept simple (but thatā€™s just me), and yours looks very nice. I :heart: roasted broccoli!

I been cooking fish iffy for years. Just lately Iā€™ve been pan seareing it. All right frying :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: It really comes out the best. Especially Salmon or Mahi Mahi. Even Haddock maybe. If itā€™s too flaky it might fall apart on ya. It smells up the house no matter how you cook it.

Nice crispy pan seared salmon is the best.
Good luck.

One of the ways I love to cook the delicate fishies is en papillote with lemon and herbs, though itā€™s been a long time. So easy and comes out perfectly flaky! I also pan sear my meatier fishies.
