Breakfast sandwich on my homemade bread. Egg, cheese and locally made beet/horseradish relish (which was too sweet for my taste… I was expecting more bite to it)

My little guy & I made sprouted black bean brownies. Tried one with cream cheese icing. Not too sweet so I enjoyed them!

First time using soy chorizo! Con huevos and potatoes. Corn tortillas.

Really tasty, and I didn’t miss the grease that comes from meat-based chorizo. Good spice, this was Cacique brand.

Go ahead & try it to see if you like it. Have a backup meal just in case you’re not feeling it.
I’m not quite ready to try the Impossible Burger or any of their products. I prefer a well-made veggie burger.

@Salty Great minds!

I am not sure how I feel about the lettuce.

How could I cook the day before a trip? Philly cheesesteak for me and Chicago beef for him (au jus and spicy giardiniera). Both were excellent. We need to come back here more often.

Twinning! Though yours is homemade so that’s an extra win.

I bet yours tastes a heck of a lot better! :laughing:

I’m sad to report that the soy chorizo has been nixed by Eric. He says it had a “stale cardboard aftertaste,” (as opposed to fresh cardboard) so I am not sure how to proceed now. We really don’t have it very often, so I guess we’ll go back to regular. Worth a shot.

Food cooked by someone else often tastes better! I didn’t have to wash any dishes, either! :joy:

Maybe try Frieda’s? That’s what I make for the kiddo. Or you can make your own. You probably have everything but the tofu on hand. There are recipes all over the internet.

I prefer the real deal, even with the grease. That said, I rarely buy it because I would probably eat the whole thing at one sitting. :slight_smile:

Today I made what I guess i will call spicy shrimp tacos. I used Vietnamese garlic chile paste and diced zucchini stir fried with the shrimp. Super simple and it was really tasty. And I made more pumpkin bread. That’s turning into a regular Sunday thing for me lately. I cut a piece for you. Enjoy!

Bye for now…

Thank you! I’m a fan of all the great things you all share here. I just scrolled up and saw your philly cheesesteak. That looks so good! I love those but i have never made one before. I will give it a go soon!
