Greek pastitsio.
Kind of like a lasagna, but the meat sauce has cinnamon in it which gives a unique extra flavour depth.
For this one a twist was added to the bechamel on top. Once I’d made the extremely cheesy bechamel i took it off the heat and stirred through two egg yolks (didn’t want to waste them). I whisked two egg whites up and folded it though the bechamel before pouring over the dish.
It was amazing. Made it like a cheese soufflé topping. YUM!
11/10 would eat again. And will.

Definitely one of my favourite foods. Tortilla wraps! But to be honest, I’m not sure if that’s the correct term

I understand that having only one of those on the plate at a time looks a bit sad. :sob::crazy_face::joy:

If I eat steak, it’s going to have to be very very well done. My husband gets sad every time we have that discussion :joy: (he was a chef before he became a roadworker)

Burritos? That’s what we call them. And now I got a craving for Jamaican Jerk Tacos. That’ll probably be someday next week

We just call it a wrap over here or a taco. Don’t matter what’s in it. But yours does look a little sad. Enjoy
@MrsOdh
Ya burrito as well. But I always think of a burrito to be big and full and stuffed and a bean base. Like you got to eat it with a knife and fork size.

Perhaps? That’s what they call them in this one tex-mex restaurant here. Oh, the bagel cafe where I worked in in London served Jamaican Jerk chicken filling, it was delicious!

Sounds like s perfect size to me  maybe you’re right. I just call all kind of rolls including something Taco themed, burritos. Except for enchiladas :joy:

Bahahahah, it is a bit sad! :joy: But I get full so easily so I make them one wrap at a time, and today I could only have two. Lol!

Just like wifey. “Why can’t we just have spaghetti and cheeseburgers all the time?”
And I have to make a big batch so she can have lunches during the week and freeze some for a dinner later.

Was the one who said it looked sad. I was just agreeing with her!! But I do like a more manly stuffed taco.

I really don’t understand why chefs are like this. There’s nothing wrong with a well done steak if its cooked properly.

Also, I hate to burst everyone’s bubble about cast iron pans but its all a load of hoot that you shouldn’t clean them. Do you not clean other pots and pans after you use them? Or cutlery, would you like to use cutlery that hasn’t been cleaned? You still need to clean cast iron pans, you just have to re-oil them and heat them afterwards. Anyone who tells you not to clean cast iron pans is either lazy, lying or trying to kill you.

Thank you for this. I always clean mine, always did, always will. And yes with dishsoap too. Horrible I know, but I wouldn’t dream of not cleaning it. Clean and re-oil works perfectly fine and has done for years

The drama of cast iron is opera worthy!
