Foodies Unite #3 (trigger warning food) (Part 1)

Ha! It’s a whole new world…definitely a big learning curve for me. I’m reading all I can from an Instant Pot Facebook group and might buy a cookbook, too.

I hid around the corner when I first used it

And now I’m debating an air fryer, or a Ninja Foodi grill (which also air fries, apparently)

:rofl::rofl: I grew up hearing my mom’s story of being left home alone with instructions to turn off the beans in the pressure cooker…she forgot and they burned and she opened it and beans hit the ceiling! She tried cleaning up and getting as much back into the pot, for what? To avoid notice? Oh, the mind of a child…apparently my grandma was just glad my mom wasn’t hurt and I’ve been scared of them ever since first hearing that story. But technology is pretty amazing and I feel like I can’t go wrong with this device if I follow the directions!

I love my crockpot, and tries about everything in it. Just got a bigger one for Christmas. And I’ve been looking at the Ninja Foodi for a long time. No instapot here though. But I’m sure you’ll make amazing food in that.

I’ve never had it! :scream: I believe I can find it just north of me in Wisconsin, though, when the pandemic is over. Someday…

Not sure yet, but my friend gave me a recipe she is going to try next week for Moroccan spices zucchini that looks good and super simple. Sauté for a bit then cook under pressure for a minute. I don’t even know the lingo properly!

Yum! I look forward to seeing your pictures of it!

I don’t think I’ve seen anything like that before.
Did you buy some? Were they any good.

I’m pretty sure they are a re-issue of a special edition from a few years ago. I’ve had them and remember them being quite good, though could go a bit more mint.
Maybe they are different this time. Will have to get some.

EDIT: a quick check shows they were first released toward the end of 2017.

Nope didn’t buy them coz I’m on a good streak eating clean so I didn’t want to break my momentum :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thanks @AyBee !! They were in woolies :grinning:

Gluten and dairy free cinnamon rolls and bacon.
Need to look for another roll recipe. This didn’t turn out soft and fluffy. And the kids got almost all the bacon, they like it way more than I do. Only thing missing is Sweet tea.
Got a huge craving for biscuits and gravy now so gotta make some for tomorrows breakfast. With Sweet tea

I think it’s a bit funny. I scroll from the bottom up. And I see the pictures of the food here and I can pretty accurately predict who is posting a particular dish.
