Yeah, I cut them in half after trimming the ends and turn over in a bowl with some oil and whatever seasonings (usually just salt and pepper but sometimes garlic powder or curry powder) and roast at high temp with cut sides down.
Sweet chilli sauce is brilliant with so much. Always a good staple to keep in fridge. There is also a thinner more watery spicier one that comes with Vietnamese food , its so yummy
Roasting them, like other veg, brings out a sweetness and, if you go long enough, a bit of char that is so tasty!
