Foodies Unite #4 (trigger warning food) DON'T GO BACON MY HEART!

Carnitas came out so lovely and flavorful. hours in the crockpot and a couple minutes shredded up and under the broiler. Taco night is always good fun.

I’m so proud of this meal! I’ve had this split turkey breast in my freezer for over a year and it came out juicy and delicious.

@RosaCanDo Those carnitas look so delicious. I’ve had a crock pot for 20 years and I’ve used it a few times, but really I never learned how to really use it productively and make something that tastes good… Besides roast. :woman_shrugging: That meat you have looks so nice and tender!

@Runningfree Once a year splurge! Trust me, if you lived near by, I would give you some.

So, after years of longing, and a lot of research, I decided to get a KitchenAid (don’t judge me; I have commitment issues  ). It was at my doorstep when I came back from handing out cookies. I’d kind of hoped it would be here a couple days ago, but it is fashionably late.

I might be slightly salty at the timing. I mean, I’m not @salty, no one ever could be , but I’m good-naturedly salty.

Not food, but I have to show it off!

Beautiful machine! I love mine for cookie doughs and in particular, pizza dough. So easy with the dough hook.

Thank you! I’m so excited to try it. I love baking bread, but sometimes it’s just too time consuming. I’m happy to hear such good words about yours!

I love when I get to work from home. Dropped little man off at school then commuted back home to do online course/professional development.

Usually I would agree with you :face_vomiting: I’m am not a pimento cheese fan at all. It’s gross :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: But this fresh made dip is so awesome. I don’t know what the hell they do to it buts it’s great

My wife ordered the mushroom meatloaf :face_vomiting:

I’ve had a revelation. Not sure why it didn’t cross my mind sooner.

I’m a meal prepper. Aside from when I go on dates, anything I eat - I’ve cooked myself. Even on dates sometimes, we’re at my place and I’m cooking. My food is routinely eaten out of tupperware containers. Like an animal!

Over the weekend, I thought to myself – why not simply transfer the food from the tupperware to a real plate?
And that is how I became a man of culture.

(seriously though it feels way nicer)
