Foodies Unite #4 (trigger warning food) DON'T GO BACON MY HEART!

It’s going to be an all day bolognese that I like to make once and awhile. Especially if I got an all day football afternoon to slog through. I do cooking and football now instead of drinking and football. And then I actually remember the game.

OMG Eric, seriously…I would have to find out the next day what happened the rest of the game. Movies were the same way. Mmmmm your dish sounds delish! I’m hungry now lol

I love Greek food and snacky dinners

Also thought the stones at the host stand, instead of the usual matchbox was a cute touch.

@Ravikamor

Lots of carrots and onions and garlic and butter.

After burger is browned, milk it up and cook til milk goes away.

Wine it up and cook that till it goes away.

Crush tomato time. And a bay leaf.

Voilà :kissing_heart:

Sorry it’s not dog friendly Minnie.

@Dazercat your Bolognese looks very nice! @ Minnie looks awesome!! I love them in the pics, both of them and all and every kitty, too!
I guess you really mean you put milk in there!! I never knew that was in the recipe! No wonder it has always been a family favorite, handed down for generations.

Yes.
And it was a great batch. If I may say so myself.
You cook the milk down till it goes away.

Minnie and the gang say thanks :pray:t2: :cat2: :dog2:

It literally doesn’t matter how many times I watch the hot pocket skit, I die laughing each time.

I loved hot pockets when they came out, but I remember at some point they tasted weird and I didn’t like it, only to learn they’d changed the formula a bit. Up until then I was so hooked. Probably for the best in the end.

I had this vegan version of scrambled eggs on toast. It weren’t pretty, to the eye or the mouth.

…what on earth do they make the “eggs” from?

Not a judgement, just a genuine curiosity. Is it soy?

It’s called Oggs, I believe it’s chickpea water. Aquafaba thing.

I feel a bit mean now for dissing their attempts. I should say to my mouth and eye it weren’t the best but to others, it may be marvellous
