Went to the Meadow for dinner.
They are having a Valentines Special all weekend.
We did not get it.

Nor did we get the raw oysters served with a White Chocolate Strawberry Chili Mignonette :face_vomiting: I mean seriously :flushed: ??
@ShadowFax ??
@Callie99 ??
Am I just getting old? Our chef here needs to be reigned in.

What we did have.
New England Clam Chowdah with a dash of Tabasco or 2.

Rotisserie Deviled 1/2 Chicken
Carmelized Onion Mashers & Chimichurri Brussels

I’m a traditionalist when it comes to oysters. Fresh horseradish and a few different vinegars

I would have passed as well

Thank you.
Me too. I even miss the crackers. No one serves the side of Saltine crackers with them anymore.

I like herby garlic fries with mine haha

Keep it simple with oysters, squeeze some lemon juice, black pepper, Tabasco, mignonette/vinegar.
If you want to do funky, maybe a Gin or Champaign Foam, but definitely not CHOCOLATE :nauseated_face:

I cooked some ‘‘happy’’ eggs for breakfast on this beautiful sober Saturday morning :pray: :wink:

Saturday breakfast & a game of Popomatic Trouble.
Hubby likes his scrambled eggs very cooked. He prefers cooked until they brown where I like them softer. So this is an in-between compromise :laughing: I made some type of makeshift basil & garlic aioli sauce with lime juice for myself. No one else wanted any, nor any avocado :avocado: Ketchup for hubby

My first attempt at biscuits to go with sausage gravy for breakfast. I went with a cream drop biscuit because the store was completely out of buttermilk and I didn’t feel like making clabbered milk (milk and lemon juice). Such a treat. I’m never buying biscuit dough in a can again.

Can’t forget the homemade cayenne hot sauce I pulled out of the freezer last night!

We’ve had this mix forever. I had some GF pita, so we did a little falafel plate. 90-second bag o’ brown rice and frozen peas (from India).

Mix was a tad saltier than I prefer but good for a quick fix.

Falafel is on the menu this week. Haven’t had it in forever! That looks good.

I definitely prefer horseradish, tabasco, a little lemon or lime.

I am not against a good Rockefeller, though. There used to be a place in San Antonio, that had Rockefeller with Emu Sausage. It was soooooooooooo freaking good!

(Not my pic of Mexican orejas, sweet bread)

Ughhhh! So delicious. I wonder if I can order it from somewhere. I love all of it, conchas definitely remind me of my childhood.
