Foodies Unite #4 (trigger warning food) DON'T GO BACON MY HEART!

Oysters Rockefeller are my absolute fave!!! Must have the secret ingredient though.
“Pernod”:ok_hand:
I’m usually to snooty to order most Rocky’s. I’m not wasting my gout or taste buds on cheesey sausagey ones :scream:

Nothing in the house but eggs. Cheese. And tortillas.
Life is good.

And kitty cats! It really makes me feel good to see your cats up on the counter while you are cooking. I never thought this would be my life but actually it is and it is fine! My other cats didn’t get on the counter while I was cooking, this one does. She likes to watch. I never thought I would be accepting, but I am very much so, and it’s nice to see that we have friends to do the same thing. If I wasn’t accepting there’s absolutely nothing I can do about it. She’s so cute. She likes to just sit there and watch.
Edit I think she’s on the table while you’re eating it’s all the same I get it

I knew you’d catch Mav walking across the lunch table. Well it got a great big window and he’s a fan of eggs and cheese. I figured most people would freak out. Not in my house. He’s like cat number 11 or 12 for us. They pretty much do what they like.

Take out sushi tonight. We tried the sushi for two dinner instead of our usual a la carte selection and we were pretty happy with it. Salad, miso soup, gyoza and a nice sushi selection.

Got a new restaurant in town.
Atria.
Meh. Some people are just never satisfied.
Just difficult to navigate the menu and find something close to normal.

Atria Bread Cultured cranberry butter

The bread and cranberry butter was awesome. I was a little skeptical trying it with the cranberry butter but it worked. :yum:
Oysters we’re good.
Oysters* Apple, ginger, hibiscus granita on the right.

Grilled Oysters Chorizo, @EarnIt lemon, parsley, bread crumb on the left. They were really good. Especially after my sausage comment yesterday

We shared the main.

18oz Grilled Bone in Ribeye* Black garlic, thyme, aged balsamic.
Served with barley risotto and grilled cauliflower.
It was ok. Not much of a presentation. They’ll work it out. I hope.

It’s from the farmers market. I go every week just for the bread. All they do is sour dough and it’s life changing :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I can’t wait for market season! We have an indoor winter farmers market but it’s limited. The Amish folk have a stand at the summer market and their baked goods are the best! Including sourdough. Opening day isn’t till May 7th :sob:

That’s the funny thing about Florida. Winter is the best time of year for the farmers market. In the summer it shrinks down to almost nothing. They move it from a sports stadium parking lot to a little park. I guess that’s the only downside to farmers markets- We can’t have them year round. Excited for your farmers market to be back in season!
