Top pic is My Own Version of a Dutch Pannenkoeken
Second pic is My Own Version of Labneh.
( Hope ya’ll can catch the humour here)
I have made the labneh a lot. Here is the original recipe that I have. I have the cheesecloth and all. Once I was getting ready to make it and my Lebanese friend said "Why are you going to do all that ??, Why don’t you just pour olive oil into the Greek yogurt?? " Seemed like a good way to do it, and as it turns out it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too easy! Pour olive oil into Greek yogurt, I use fat free, and then I put fresh or dried parsley, garlic and a little salt if I want, in to it. In my pic I left it where you could see the olive oil. Love the flavor.

Dutch Hangop is similar to the Lebanese (Middle East and let us include Mediterranean) labneh in that it is strained yogurt or buttermilk. I like it the best. It just tastes richer and thicker. It is those pampered cows over there in the land of milk and cheese. :hugs:

Hi Alisa, I love labneh too and have homemade it myself. During lockdown I rolled it into balls and suspended in olive oil ready to go whenever. So tasty with smoked salmon.

I guess that’s a good thing about 1. Being single. and 2. Being the only meat eater. If I want something like this for breakfast, I just do it. No one else is eating it anyway.

Life is short. Do what you want!

Ya me too. They are fun and convenient. Hello Fresh.

Yes they are!! I was doing hello fresh for a long long time but dinnerly is so affordable and they constantly send me $50 off codes and my boxes are only 15 bucks and free shipping, can’t really beat that!! My husband is a bit picky so there are some delicious recipes I pass up sometimes because I know he won’t eat them, but I do try to tweak some to his taste! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

My wife’s the picky one. :joy: there’s always one in the family. Usually not the cook.
I’ve tried others but we always go back to Hello Fresh. We’ll keep that one in mind next time we get pissed off at HF. :joy:

Hahahaha let me know, I always have free boxes to send if you want to try it out! The only bummer for me, is they don’t send the recipes cards so you have to look the recipes up on your phone or computer etc. Which isn’t a big deal for me.

Will do. I’m sure my wife will be googling it soon
