Foodies Unite #4 (trigger warning food) DON'T GO BACON MY HEART!

I threw together a sugar-free chocolate chip cheesecake for my husband to snack on at Keely’s. I really like the Diamond brand pecan pie crusts, because it’s so quick and easy to make a filling and I’m done. They taste good, too, and are easy to transport. Just pop the plastic cover back on after cooling.

It’s not the prettiest cheesecake pie, but it sure is delicious.

I LOVE capers with my salmon. That looks so yummy!

So what’s for dinner there? Capers and dill with essence on salmon or what?:smiling_face_with_three_hearts::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Um…That was breakfast. I also found that horseradish with the dill & capers is delightful with salmon. I really love that Ingelhoffer. Also, that is really substandard salmon, freezer-pack variety. It needs all the help it can get.

The pasta on the other hand is a variation of the mushroom one-pot I have been perfecting. It is so damn good!

I am heading into a detox week, so I won’t be seeing any grains for 7 days! All veggies, good fats and proteins. You’re supposed to forgo coffee and I encourage my clients to do so, but let’s not get crazy! I really do need a food detox week, it’s much akin to elimination diet. I got a little crazy with my gluten intake and I feel every bit of it.

A batch of chilli ready to start in the slow cooker. But I have no mushrooms :disappointed:
Also making some fresh bread, and I baked a chocolate cheesecake early this morning, that’s cooling in fridge :yum: Busy day in the kitchen on this wet stormy day with intense winds. Really mild at 12°C; feels like spring. Below freezing and 10cm snow tomorrow!

Chili sounds so good. I don’t prefer meatless chili. It would be nice to have some for the upcoming cold week. I think I will make an extra spicy batch of bean chili. Dang kid.

I could “smell/taste” that as soon as I saw the pic!

I’ve never made focaccia, so I might give that a try one day

When I was a kid, we used to get nachos like that at a certain convenience store and at some point the recipe got changed. I was so crushed. It’s funny to look back on, but at the time I was really upset.

Chef Fred’s Pastrami on a toasted Kaiser Roll with tobacco onions and beer mustard. And Swiss. I opted for the breakfast potatoes with some salsa.

And one perfect crunchy pickle.
No emoji for a pickle :scream: wtf ?

Bring your snow boots and gloves it barely made it above 32 today. Low of 15 tomorrow morning. But we got the same sun.

I was actually surprised. It was pretty good pastrami. You got a Chompies down there? I know they’re in Phoenix and Tempe and Scottsdale. I miss a good Ol Kosher Style New York Deli. This isn’t it. But the pastrami is pretty good.
