Foodies Unite #5 (trigger warning food) TAKE ANOTHER LITTLE PIZZA MY HEART!

I’m sorry you feel that way Rosa. That is not my intention. You know what pains me? Seeing all these lucky people that have a wonderful person like you cook for them all the time. I always think y’all are so lucky. And I’m envious of that. Eating and drinking go hand and hand for me. I find it very therapeutic and quite enjoyable posting all sorts of food and menus. It kind of keeps me from drinking.

Can we meet in the middle? Can you post foods that bring you joy? Maybe not what doesn’t? And I’ll be kinder about not judging. That’s my bad. I do see how I am subject to comparison and working on that. But you make it so very easy sometimes.

I’m also quite aware I put myself out for the gauntlet by posting at all. My hope is to start a conversation and I guess I started it confrontationally. That’s what happens when I hold things in and the it just comes out.

Oh and I cook for me. My husband sometimes benefits. I wish I had lots of folks to share with. It’s another aspect of being sober that just happens. People want boozy dinner parties and they ain’t happening at my place.

I’m going to throw in my two cents. I don’t go out to restaurants, I live alone. I’m also digging out of tremendous debt that my ex put me in. But I feel differently than Rosa, @Dazercat I enjoy all your food posts, from home, restaurants, it doesn’t matter. I like to see different recipes or items put together at restaurants, and I enjoy the reviews. I’ve picked up ideas from this thread. I have never even thought that it was ‘showing off’ by any means.

We are all different people coming from different lifestyles with a common bond, to help one another. @RosaCanDo I’m sorry you feel that way and by no means am I attacking your feelings. We’re all allowed to feel how we feel, and that’s what makes this community so special.

To be honest I love food way too much.

Friday night I cooked haddock Thai stir fry on the bone ( a bit too boney, but delicious)

Oh goodness that sounds delicious!! Getting ready to grill here, too. Poor man’s (woman’s) way to cook. Charcoal here.

Picked 3 Jalepenos, a hand full of cherries tomatoes, a San Marzona tomato and a bowl full of green beans! Fresh veggies to cook with!

Even more exciting, one of my cherry tomato plants is 6 foot tall, the rest are about 5 and a half feet!

All future food pictures!

My wife made her famous Shanghai casserole.

Now I’m not saying Minnie doesn’t like my wife’s cooking :joy: but she isn’t around for the photo bomb.

It was great :+1: As usual.

I love seeing Eric’s restaurant meals and hearing what he likes and doesn’t like so much, respecting his opinion; also enjoy his home meals, he makes some of those look so easy… … … looking forward to his trip food!
I have been in two restaurants in 2.5 years, plus whataburger, and his meals ( and other TS’ peeps meals out ) are a real treat to see. I can even forgive him for going sugar free and stopping those dream desserts …

I like looking at and hearing about everyone’s food… all are wonderful to look at and hear about. Even @Thirdmonkey who sometimes just describes his food!!

Also love Rosa’s food, from cooking or otherwise preparing, to growing and preserving it… Rosa you have quite the flair in the kitchen with your creativity and intuitiveness with your cooking, putting it together and serving it… … I have often thought you should open a restaurant!

My food… unfrozen strawberries and yogurt
Eggplant, mushrooms, red bell pepper, garlic and ginger
Served with cooked spinach and tomatoes…

Bon appetit everyone

@RosaCanDo editing to add your supper looks awesome… that salad!! If I made it I would use raw corn off the cob… the tacos look great!
