Bacon cabonara made from scratch. Ultimate comfort food for tonight’s cold and wet wintery night!

In the UK we make crumble, which might be similar to your cobbler? Oats and nuts and cinnamon topping on the sweetened stewed fruit?

What about a kind of fool? The fruit mixed with plain yoghurt with a biscuit to dip in like shortbread?

Or a alternative Victoria sponge cake with rhubarb and :strawberry: filling between the layers with the cream?

20 years ago I had a friend from Canada, actually a sister of a friend, Many times she flew down here with a lot of fresh homemade rhubarb pies, they were wonderful. She may have had a lattice top on the top of them.
She would bring three, carry on. Anything you do will be wonderful and appreciated.

At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within your kitchen!?

Haha. I was getting ready to suggest to @AyBee it was because you had little ones. At least you’re not putting it under the jello like they did at the school that I went to.
I do like peas a lot, maybe that’s why, I’m laughing.

C’mon now, give peas a chance! :peace_symbol:

I might be biased though. I think I’m part pea :joy:

I sneak peas into things too for kiddo, @Becsta! One of the few “green things” he likes

My younger 2 also love eating them frozen lol. I used to give them frozen peas to munch on when in the highchair and teething and they still love them frozen at 4 and 10 :rofl:
Love the pea costume that’s gold :joy::joy:

Fish and chips is what’s for lunch.
Atlantic Cod.
They do a malt vinegar Mayo dip for the fries. :thinking:Interesting. I think I’m old fashioned and prefer just the malt vinegar. But it was good.
