We’d do a less sweet biscuit out east. Like a tea biscuit or scone.
I prefer angel food cake for mine. But if Mrs. Monkey is making it. Biscuits sound grrrreat!!
Now, I’m not saying you can’t use ricotta, only that if you haven’t got it that it’s no barrier to making a super delicious lasagna using super cheesy bechamel
She loathes Angel food cake…however, I will admit…on a sweet biscuit, it was good.
I was going to say angel food cake too, however, I would rather have a biscuit or scone under there. And @Thirdmonkey your cream is really cool looking! You all had quite a meal after a long hard day! Bon appetit! @AyBee I will try your cheese anytime, too!
OOOPs it is Third Monkey w the cheese blend and Aybee w the bechamel!
To be fair… It’s a very cheesy bechamel. Usually three cheeses.
And the way it browns on top in the oven…
Eggs, grape tomatoes, zucchini (courgette) and goat cheese crumbles. I folded in half before eating so the cheese got nice & melty wish I had some fresh basil on hand
Brownies, from scratch
They turned out great! The brownies came out soft, which is exactly what I wanted. For the honey in the icing, I used a local dark honey, which made the sweetness a bit deeper, a bit darker. It was lovely.

Probably right up there with best burger anywhere. I cannot believe it’s in an airport. Been thinking about this burger since we planned the trip over 2 years ago. I was not disappointed.
White cheddar bacon burger.
Beer battered onion rings creole aioli, ketchup
My step-MIL asked me to bring a cold salad for my FIL’s birthday gathering of a few folks. She’s having a cold turkey & ham. She says there’s already coleslaw & potato salad. I’m debating perhaps Greek pasta salad or another pasta salad, or broccoli salad, wild rice salad etc.
