Foodies Unite #6 (trigger warning food) ANOTHER ONE BITES THE CRUST!

Broccoli and fresh spinach into the microwave
Healthy Choice Chicken Broccoli Alfredo frozen dinner, it is 190 calories and 28 grams of protein. I am mostly vegetarian but like this for the protein, bc it tastes good, but at 190 calories, I want more food, thus the spinach and tomatoes and this time more broccoli too

Mangoes!

Bon appetit everyone… love the stories about the
'‘hundreds of thousands’… never heard that! Looks great on the icing and the cake so pretty! @Deelzebub

Lunch is a lovely soup I made from chicken stock and multi coloured carrots and other vegetables finished off with miso, spring onions and pumpkin seeds with sourdough toast.

Well, it doesn’t look like much but it’s progress. Breakfast is a slightly creamy chicken and veggie ramen with homemade broth. Frozen veg and leftover chicken to the rescue! And a nice egg stirred in. My husband made me a sandwich for later. Baby steps!

Cold Meatloaf and Mayo sands are the best.

Ha! No meatloaf sandwiches here growing up. Never heard of them until the forum. I often got baloney sandwiches (aka “Newfoundland steak”) that were soggy and squished from being packed in a brown paper bag on backpack :joy:
I’ll stick to warning my meatloaf (although I’m sure I likely overcooked mine so that’s not helping my desire to try it) :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hmm I think I am guilty of this

Baby spinach, tomato & goat cheese crumbles in my omelette. With spring rolls, because, why not!

Anybody ever heard of this Olive Burger.
@Dan531 ? You’re from around there. Is this true?

I’ve never heard of it. I’m intrigued
Worth a try.

I just thought it was fascinating and thought I’d share it.

Michigander here and it’s my husband’s favorite kind of burger. He usually makes them at home but we have found them at a couple restaurants before, too. I like them well enough but not my fav.

I didn’t realize you were a Michigander. I guess I got thought you were from Tucson. Or a misplaced Arizonan. I know you lived a few places. I just thought it very interesting. And you’ve seen some of the crazy burgers I’ve posted. I never heard of this one.

Yeah, I grew up all over the Midwest but my fella grew up in Michigan since he was about 5 years old and his whole family is from there. So he’s the true Michigander. I was there from 6th grade till after college and when we got married we moved to Tucson. Was there 9 years.

Definitely give the simple olive burger a try, I bet you’ll like it.

I can’t believe how well the homemade yoghurt turned out. Sometimes you make something yourself and though it’s perhaps a bit nicer it’s not really worth the hassle, but this yoghurt is so wonderful!

I’ve actually never heard of that before, I’ll have to try it!

This is big where I live, and I LOVE them when they’re made properly

Had a combination of things happening that made me lose my appetite, motivation to cook, and so on. Starting to get better.

Such a handy chart! I forgot some of these and how the names translate from fresh to dried.
