Vegan protein bomb

Indian curry with potatoes and chickpeas,
topped with fried chili tofu,
served on fresh baby spinach.

I’ll use up the leftovers before I go on vacation.

What we call a turnip is known as a swede in England and elsewhere but the turnip that we use for haggis neeps and tatties is rutabaga.

I changed it up a little.
I used real maple syrup instead of honey with my old strawberries and flax seeds.
And bought some Exekiel Sprouted, whatever, rock frozen, suppose to be good for you bread.
With margarine.

It says flourless :scream: sprouted grain.
Are they all flourless? I just saw sprouted grain on the label and grabbed it. Frozen rock hard  Maybe I should try buying it at my Whole Foods instead of Safeway.

I’ve had the muffs before a really long time ago. Pretty thick. And filling. I might look into those again too.

I have eaten lots and lots of the Ezekiels that are like wraps. Always frozen. When you get them home you can keep them in the fridge. Ate them usually with hummus, hummus and avocado. Very nutritious, healthy meal. Unfortunately I do not have the self control to not eat all of the Ezekiel’s or the hummus. Both very wonderful and delicious. Ate them for years about ten years ago. There’s other types of Ezekiel I think that are not frozen. The wraps were always frozen.

Do you think the bread will keep a long time in the fridge? I guess I could split it in half ? Put half in fridge and half in freezer. Thanks. For some reason didn’t think of that. Since we go out to eat once and awhile :face_with_hand_over_mouth: I’m not use to buying food to keep at home like that because it tends to go to waste. I am learning veggies and fruit can still taste and look good after a week or so in the fridge.

Pizza experiment went well - decided I needed a control so I made a fresh batch of dough to compare with my cold proofed batch. The cold proof definitely had more flavor! I just wish I had a better oven for baking at high heat. Convection would be ideal. It was fun, regardless. Two main styles of toppings - Eric’s had red sauce, olives, pepperoni and salami, bell peppers and mozzarella. I made a white sauce for mine using ricotta, fresh grated Parmesan, chopped kale and a bit of lemon juice and topped with caramelized onions and artichoke hearts. Excuse the bite marks…I wanted a close up pic and forgot!

I’ve had mine last a good week or two in the fridge. I eat it most days so it disappears within that time and I can’t say if it would last longer. I I’ve always had it toast up pretty nicely from frozen though too when I’ve forgotten to thaw it. The sesame one is my favorite! My dad goes for the cinnamon raisin with peanut butter on it.

I think with all that pizza you got there we all need to come over for a group taste test :yum:
Let’s wait till spring/summer though. I got a feeling you might be in the middle of this big storm.

I could use the help! We share our meals with our neighbor whose wife has declined recently with dementia. He loves the pizzas

Looks like mostly rain here, though I kind of wish it was snow.
