Went with the cinnamon apple raisin honey in my oats today. Reminds me of when I was a kid and use to make my own instant oats with the packet and just pour boiling water over it.
Say foodies……
What else can I put this flax seed on if I remember to grind it and use it.
I forgot on my oatmeal yesterday.
I know I could use it on my smoothies but I’m on a smoothie hiatus.
And I reckon sprinkle it on salads? But we/I don’t make fresh salads at home.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance
My aunt mixes it into her yogurt with fruit and granola and in her mustard for sandwiches. Sounds a bit weird but any way to get it in she says I’ve tried it both ways and it’s fine by me.
I like to make “flax eggs” for vegan baking (especially love it in an espresso brownie) and lately just because eggs are so dang expensive. Chia & flaxseed coconut milk pudding is one of my favorite evening snacks.

Didn’t know NexVeg was local right here in town.
I’m kind of new to this plant based eating but I’m wondering why they would serve a thing of butter on a vegan dish?
Next time 86 the tomato jam. It was too sweet.
But all and all pretty good.
Lazy supper tonight after treacherous winter drive from medical appointment. Veggie lasagna & salad. I toasted some almonds in a pan. I could eat them with a spoon, they’re so good
If you can read my handwriting and figure out what it means, this is what I’ve got. My dad hates the idea of “black bean brownies” but I don’t tell him that is what I’ve made and he eats the heck out of them.
The “cold coffee” that it calls for I’ve done with cold brew, a shot of espresso, or pwdered instant espresso. And I like to throw a scoop of flax in with the oats when they’re in the processor. It’s a pretty forgiving recipe that I tweak and change on the fly most of the time.
