The stock came out great as usual (it’s different every time but always good, pretty straightforward!) and was an excellent base for this nourishing and comforting lemony chicken and rice soup. I wish I could take credit for the Asiago garlic bread but it was a take-and-bake loaf from the grocery bakery. I WILL try my hand at baking bread this winter!

SMOKED SALMON AND ROASTED VEGETABLE FRITTATA
Wild Alaska Smoked Sockeye Salmon, house-roasted shallots and tomatoes topped with Parmesan, a chive cream drizzle and fresh herbs. Served with ciabatta toast and lemon-dressed organic mixed greens.
And my wife said that blueberry muffin was heavenly. I’ll never know. I could see the sugar falling off it like snow. It looked so good.

The taste of late summer. Chili lime spice encrusted pan seared salmon with an excellent slicer tomato and a sweet corn and black bean salad with lime vinaigrette. Freshness all around.
