Chicken soup is the best! It was the only thing I was able to eat the last time I had a cold.

Chompies. :+1:
Right by the medical center. Great location
My cholesterol numbers are all in the normal range and look good. But my doc still wants me to take statins because she says Iā€™m high risk. Celebration short lived. I expected a gold :star: Iā€™m so confused. Iā€™ll continue to eat healthier as I have been. But throw in a Reuben or a fried chicken once and awhile. Luckily I like all foods and Iā€™m not a picky eater. Truthfully Iā€™m feeling kind of gross after that awesome Reuben. Totally worth it :yum:
And Iā€™ll probably take the statins as my doc recommends.

Chompiesā€¦ I think I have made some good progress on balancing things but man, I will never give up the occasional Rueben or burger or whatever. Never. P.S. Take the pills.

Hey! Glad to hear youā€™re in the normal range. I know you did a big diet overhaulā€¦but would you mind listing what you did to get your numbers down?

Downside (?) of grocery pickup:
Sometimes, your shopper likes to have a laugh at your expense.

These are jalapeƱos, if thatā€™s not apparent. I used them to make spicy Thai chicken, which I do not have a photo of.

Well I havenā€™t had a French fry in like forever. Not even a couple when wifey offers.
I havenā€™t had a good ribeye this year.
Cut way back on the meat.
No more butter.
Iā€™m on the no sugar thing.
No fried chicken or fish and chips etcā€¦ā€¦

I was rewarding myself with eating anything and everything I wanted since I quit drinking.

I still eat bread or toast. I just donā€™t use butter anymore. I was slathering that real Kerry Gold butter on everything.

I do egg whites now if I order eggs.

Trying for veggie sauces instead of meat sauces when I can.

I almost never do processed meat. Lunch meats anymore.

Added healthy nuts and raisins for snacks and tried to eat oatmeal a lot and avocado toasts. And lots of veggies and salads.

And I only eat twice a day. But thatā€™s been going on forever.

Thanks for the support.
:pray:t2::heart::hugs:

To your good health @Dazercat !
Sorry you have to take the statins since you would prefer not to, hopefully you will never even know you take them and the numbers could even go down further.
Lots of admiration to you for the way that you turned your eating around and realized and realize so many benefits from itā€¦ plus you even know that you prefer a lot of your food ā€˜the new wayā€™ !
You can see a difference in your pics too! Your complexion etcetera! Yes!
Do you still drink your morning fruit drinks? Healthy whatever they were, the delivered ones?

(Does that mean they had their livers taken out??)

Blueberries and cranberries.
Frozen and microwaved for two minutes to thaw.
Editing to add I have three or four at least of the gallon bags of cranberries I froze left.

Loving these ā€¦chicken breast pieces done in my griddle pan, 1 squirt of fry lightā€¦with a pinch of salt, oregano, garlic and a squeeze of lemon, in a toasted folded flat bread with chopped iceberg lettuce, white cabbage pickled in lemon juice, some chopped tomato and a dash of sweet chilli sauce, dash of low calorie mayo :yum:

Nothing special to reportā€¦
I ate homemade vegan fruit sorbet,
once mango, once pineapple.
And I ate the chicken soup I made yesterday.
My taste is 80% gone :grimacing::face_with_thermometer:

Iā€™ll give you all a laugh

Iā€™d never seen pin head oats before. The first time was here a few weeks back on someones post.

At Easter dinner at my mums home sheā€™s has all these fancy different flours, oats, seeds etcā€¦
Well on her window sill were 6 jars, I asked if I could try one to take home, and that was fine.
So at dinner we are sitting eating and I bring up pin head oats and my dad is telling me he eats them with his breakfast.
Anyway to cut the long story short I said Iā€™m going to start eating them and try them for the first time.
About 10 minutes later my brother asked me if I have this jar my mum gave me to feed the birds at my home ā€¦ I said this is my pin head oats  I didnā€™t know it was bird food. Lucky I didnā€™t post a pic here of what I thought was a nice breakfast with pin head oats to find out itā€™s bird food :rofl::rofl::joy::smiling_face:
