I’m really jealous! I’ve just freezed 2 diced mangos for sherbet on Sunday.

Contemplating what to cook as my first meal here this weekend! Any ideas? It’s going to cool down a bit as of Sunday so I’ll probably do it then. If I have time! Probably something simple…

Go back to the noodle bowl. You can even use the grill for whatever meat you’ll add.

I keep mine in the cupboard.

I don’t. Mine is in cupboard. Although it melts on hot days… one day I opened jar to use and was walking to get a spoon and didn’t realize I’d tipped it and it was pouring all over floor. Nice shiny floor though! :joy:

Cold and rainy here today. So after unfreezing my leftover Easter hambone I’m making some split pea soup❤️

Aaaand the results…MAN split pea soup is delicious! And such a cheap way to use leftovers and make something special with them!

He is! Thanks so much for asking
He came home Monday the 12th. We’ve been adjusting to being new parents and to that newborn schedule

Other than some burgers and brats on Father’s Day this is about the most I’ve cooked! Felt good to be in the kitchen making something other than bottles of breastmilk :joy:

One of my favorite meals!!! It’s the Sharwarma seasoning that makes it so good!
You put can of chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, onion, and red pepper on a pan with olive oil salt and pepper, and the Sharwarma and let them cook until onion begins to carmelize
Then brown and chop chicken… season the same, I added garlic. Add veggies to it when they’re done
I did yellow rice but you could do any rice
Serve with Greek yogurt.
It’s a morrocan dish. Pic isn’t that good because I couldn’t help digging in before thinking to take a picture.

Thanks so much :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: we are thrilled.

And all I can say is: MAN! Parenting is NOT for the faint hearted

I’d post pictures, but my sweet paranoid husband is really selective about posting stuff about him online. I can tell you though…from a TOTALLY objective standpoint……that he is obviously the cutest baby that has ever existed.

We’re staying with my dad for another maybe week as the last touches get done at our house (we had to replace a VERY rickety staircase with steps that were both spaced too far apart AND we’re too shallow. It felt like “ladder stairs”. We didn’t even think changing them was an option…but my dad saw them and kind of “soft insisted” on it. I walked on the new ones for the first time today and…holy crap…my entire feelings about the house changed!!! I had not realize how much the difficult and rickety stairs played on my subconscious every time I walked up them!

Why am I rambling about this on a food thread???

I’m going with sleep deprivation. I’ll put another food pic up to keep this from getting relegated to the derailment void thread. Ok…scrolled waaaaaaay back to find something. Here is a gluten free high tea that my sister and I made for her birthday. We had a downton abbey marathon. It was awesome. GF Cherry Scones, GF cheddar and chive scones, clotted cream and jam, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, egg salad sandwiches, curried chicken salad sandwiches and lox and cream cheese sandwiches!

Grandpappying is where it’s at.
My first double grand Father’s Day.

It’s exhausting just watching my kids.
So happy for y’all

From my local grocery, this link has the exact label. They are called ‘Yellow Peach’, 4038, and are delicious… I buy the large ones, hard, let them sit out in a cooler place and when they start ripening a little, I put in the fridge in an aluminum foil pan, spaced on paper towels and none touching.

The last few years they have had this exact number on them.

90% of my food is organic, these are not, I am not worried about it.
