Cut some chuck roasts into steaks today and used the left over meat to make beef stew. Such a cozy meal. Small golden potatoes, fresh carrots, peas, and chopped onions and garlic. Made a broth and added some tomato paste. Turned out super yummy and the meat was sooo tender

It’s almost 1pm so I guess this is technically lunch.
I know what I’m doing for the rest of the day though. Post camping laundry!

We spent the afternoon at a lake yesterday and had some lovely snacks. No limes, unfortunately, but lemons work in a pinch on cucumber with tajin seasoning. There is a piece of naan in a baggie, water crackers, hummus, sardines, salami, sharp white cheddar, balsamic vinegar, pickles and olives. Lots of fun swimming and people watching.

Gluten, vegan and sugar free brownies…
Used gluten free flour from Lidl, egg replacement, and artificial sweetener. Going to do another batch with another recipe tomorrow. Flavor was great, texture not so great. More like sponge cake than brownie.

Me to me after eating today’s Brownies: Did I have to eat four bites? Absolutely not.

My 10 y/o to me: Did I have to eat eight bites? Definitely, those where delicious.

Me: Well it’s not really the same, you see, I’m trying to loose weight and get fit again.

My 10 y/o: Or you can just buy bigger clothes, and eat brownies whenever you want. Like tomorrow for example. :joy:

Glad he liked them. I’m as I said not happy with the texture. If anyone have any ideas on how to make them like fudge brownies, gluten, milk protein, egg and sugar free I’ll gladly take it. I’ve been googling around but it seems to be missing impossible.

And for someone who even makes biscuits and gravy, corn dogs or churros allergy friendly there shouldn’t be a mission impossible.

Nice that you’re making Brownies. Most Euros I know never heard of brownies! ?
Did you pick that up over here or have times changed?

Honesty I’ve never tried to bake it before. We have something similar called like Mudcake or Chocolate coconut cake.

But I follow a lot of food accounts on Instagram for example. And have been wanting to try for a long time. So I guess I’ve picked it up “over there”

Try to make them with beans or sweet potato, my coworker made them like that and they were absolutely delicious, moist and fudgy
Unfortunately I don’t got the recipe :pensive:
