I still have a stomach ache when eating. I am positive it’s leftover from too much meat, after only having mostly chicken and tuna for 10 months.

Maybe it’s all the fucking capers :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Everyone’s caper posts made me buy some and now they’re a usual part of my tuna salad  (and salmon/smoked salmon etc)
Thanks, foodie friends!

Canned soup with veggies and beef (Simply known as beef soup in Sweden even if it’s more veggies than meat)

Oven baked S’mores for dessert.

Perfect for a Rainy day.

Kid requested “nachos”
1/2c ground beef with cheese, salsa, and a little ketchup mixed together,
2tbsp sour cream
And big handful of tortilla chips

Excuse my swollen leg and my daughters dress up shirt

It’s really good in egg salad, if you do that! Really good, and I, when I taste, eat sooooooooooo much with capers.

I’d appreciate some suggestions for anti inflammatory foods.
I’ve heard tumeric is one, and cucumbers…
I’m sure there are others.
Does anyone have a relatively easy recipe they enjoy and would be willing to share?

The turmeric is great but it works even better for inflammation when had with black pepper and olive oil. I have this every night after I brush my teeth (1 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp black pepper and 1-2 tbsp of olive oil)

Inflammation lowering foods:

  • foods high in omega-3 fatty acids
  • vitamin c rich foods
  • tomatoes
  • olive oil
  • green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, kale, and collards
  • nuts like almonds and walnuts
  • fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, tuna, and sardines
  • fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and oranges

FOODS THAT YOU SHOULD AVOID

  • refined carbohydrates, such as white bread and pastries
  • French fries and other fried foods
  • soda and other sugar-sweetened beverages
  • red meat (burgers, steaks) and processed meat (hot dogs, sausage)
  • margarine, shortening, and lard

Well tomorrow the calendar says dinner is baked fish with rice and spinach (never put spinach with fish before, but I’ll take it)
Maybe I’ll add some tumeric to my rice…
