Hubby made a wonderul dinner for us tonight and i gave him a haircut 
Now just tidying up. I have a very swollen knee from kneeling on a concrete floor yesterday cleaning at work. Gonna end my night sippin some tea and icing my knee lol

My dad and uncle had tickets to see Steve Vai in St Paul, MN tonight so I made a spontaneous trip with them — came along to spend the evening in Minneapolis with my sister. Went out for dinner & now curled up on the couch under blankets. Singing bowls playing in the background put her to sleep surrounded by cats while I read Wild Swims stories by Dorthe Nors. Someday I would love to know enough Danish to read the original untranslated version.

Having another low key Friday. We had the hat trick of disease up in here, first was covid, then the flu follwed up with a cold. Everyone in the house had 2 or more in the past 3 weeks and we’re STILL sick, though we’re on the upswing!
So, couch + netflix + icecream + alcohol free nyquil = best Friday for what we have to work with.

Happy Friday folks!
What are doing today?
I helped a friend with some office stuff. Played with the cats. Enjoyed the sunshine. Now I laze on the sofa with Missi sleeping on me, watching TV. Plans for the evening: Going to bed early because I’ll go to the farmer’s market tomorrow and will get up at 6 a.m. I need an Advent wreath, vegetables and sauerkraut.

Happy Friday @erntedank ! Today is the day after American Thanksgiving and I worked my butt off the last few days. We have declared a “do nothing” day today! But I just cooked breakfast haha 
But I’m ready to lounge and eat leftovers today. Enjoy your farmer’s market tomorrow! We have an indoor market here on Saturday mornings so maybe I’ll go, but it’s also “Small Business Saturday” here (counteracting the Black Friday big shopping day) and we are going to go out and support our local businesses. It should be a lovely weekend.

Happy Friday. I’ve slept in today. I was goin to a friends but not anymore do to my mom’s husband possibly going to the hospital for some complications. Besides that it’s a beautiful day to be clean/sober. I will be working some more on my step 1 today out of the N.A. stepguide. I will be attending 3 meetings from both fellowships throughout the day/night. Other than that I’m working on taking the next indicated step on a moment to moment basis, staying in gratitude, and lots of praying haha. Everyone have a blessed day in recovery

The day after…
I hosted Thanksgiving dinner last night, we had 19 people all together. It was the biggest dinner of the year and went swimmingly.
We’ve been working for the past week or more getting ready. If you’ve seen my Declutter thread, you may know my house isn’t the tidest and how I struggle with having too much clutter. Anways, this time, preparing the house for company was not just hiding the clutter, but actually getting rid of it. I finally feel, after 15 years, that my home is becoming manageable, and that is a huge weight lifted off of me.
So, it’s the day after Thanksgiving and I ain’t got shit to do! Maybe ill put up the xmas tree today?

TV is there temporarily for some movie watching today. Won’t put the tree up but the process of bringing cheer has started!

It’s another end-of-my-weekend Friday night but that’s alright. Going to watch USA vs England in the world cup, could be interesting. Could be not. The Dutch just played a disappointing one, drawing 1-1 with Ecuador. I’ll be on the couch with Luna. Highlight of my day: the 
that I ordered was delivered. Want to be in bed in time, two early shifts coming up. Have a good one all!
