@seb I forgot that it’s winter and cold for you. A cozy day in with yummy comfort food sounds lovely.
If you’d like you can share some of your delicious creations with us on the foodie thread
@Planipennia seeing your name pop up makes Friday official for me. Yeah to your race. Congrats on 6.5k! Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Happy Friday my friends
Didn’t sleep at all until the last minute when umi needed to get up and thought I’d warm up my bones before getting out of bed…. That’s when I finally got an hour of sleep but now I’m running late
Luckily my brother will do the delivery for me as he was heading in that direction and I am already packed and ready for the festival tonight.
Glad I am able to go help set up for the pride festival but won’t have to work it. Should be a relatively easy day.
We drive to training center where they will see how to teach him social skills. It’s a 1 hour drive, I had a short, crappy night, so I will rely on black tea and red bull to make it safe home again. Driving stresses me, the heat stresses me, but I’m in good mood, already meditated and prayed, filled my cup with lots of cuddles and am prepared
It’s a beautiful morning for sitting on the balcony at 5.45 a.m. with my tea
@erntedank wishing you luck with the drive and dealing with the heat. Hope you and Bruno have a wonderful day
Happy Friday the 13th my peeps
Not much planned for today. PT and hopefully pick up some flowers to plant. The deck needs some color. May get a hair cut if time allows. Will end the day with a movie… thinking Freddy vs Jason
Trivia for my horror fans…today is the only Friday the 13th in 2025 and it falls on Jason Voorhees birthday.
Update: Bruno had a good lesson in training and I’m sure I found the fitting training center for us. I’m grateful, I ate, I’m super tired and the rest of the day is dedicated to sleep and relax
On the rack those are all tomato plants, waiting to go to the field, they are about 50, i guess 30+ varieties, i have to make an inventory. i hope for homemade tomato sauce this year
To be honest I’ve been thinking about buying a small professional strainer for years. But for the 50-60 kg I process for sauce it’s not worth it. Those old heirloom varieties don’t produce that much harvest and half of it is eaten fresh from the field
Hi Matti, great plans!
Hi sober folks!
What are you doing today on this sober friday?
Me is back home, it’s early afternoon, covered the car (sun protection) because I don’t plan to leave until monday morning
Was up early, enjoyed a sunrise walk with the dog, proceeded today’s mulberry harvest, pampered my succulents on the dry stone wall, cleared some figs and roses from weed, met with my counsellor for breakfast, picked up soilbags for more balcony planting (got a fit when I saw the weed on the field this morning).
The rest of this bridge day here is dedicated to enjoying life. At the moment it’s tea on the balcony, I guess a nap later. Have a book ready on the couch. Maybe some mowing as it’s not hot today
The weekend is full of opportunities and farm work waiting to get done. I will do as I please without stressing me. For sure making more jam will be involved
Happy sober friday fellows!
Finally no rain today after a few days of grey skies. Not that I’m complaining but it’ll be nice to see the sun. Hopefully not too muggy …that I can do without.
Gonna try and get to pool and hopefully get a lane. They will close at noon for maintenance and that means more people will have same plan.
Was gonna read the Naked Mind next but think I need some light and easy (mindless) so will stop at library to see if something feels right…I’m sure I won’t be disappointed
